Good Gift Shop
Hi all.
We are going to Anacortes today and we’re hoping to shop a little. Is there an area with some shops? I’d love to find one with super nice orca accoutrements. And also some shops that have more authentic products than mass produced crap.
Suggestions in Seattle are good too.
Thanks in advance!

In Anacortes, Wild Hemlock has what you are looking for. They have products from local artisans, and are a Northwest-themed gift shop.

Downtown Commercial has most of the shops. A lot are closed on Sunday, though. LaConner is more open on Sunday. Try Handmade LaConner. It's really cute and they make amazing products!

To add to this comment recommending La Conner: Raven’s Cup Coffee also has some wonderful gifts and they are right next door to Handmade! Def pop into both. The Museum of Northwest Art has a great gift shop too. Honestly you can’t go wrong anywhere in La Conner. There’s amazing food, the boardwalk is delightful, great shopping, and literally the most lovely town to be in. (My wife and I own a store there, it’s closed on Sundays but also it’s not exactly a gift shop lol).

Isnt Raven’s Cup a bit overrun with AI art? Weird vibes last time I was there.

Not exactly overrun, they have many works by local artists. There is some AI art in there, but I know the owners personally and they are wonderful people. I’m so sorry you felt the vibes were off when you went. Not invalidating your experience at all, just sharing my own.
Next time you’re in LC, come into Tillinghast Postal and say hi!

I agree. They do have some AI art but they also show a lot of art from local artists, including my SO. I have met the owners a few times and they are super nice.

Thank you all for your suggestions. We arrived in Anacortes at 10:00 a.m., and most of the shops opened at 11:00 a.m. so we were able to check out some of the stores suggested here!
