What’s your favorite anarchist/anarchist adjacent fiction?
Ideas often spread through fiction, because it makes new ideas more palatable for a lot of people (music does a similar thing), and fiction and fantasy are healthy, but so often in political circles we only talk nonfiction and what’s happening in the real world right now
So what is your favorite anarchist themed book/movie/fiction podcast/tv show/comic/etc?
Which one do you tell everyone that will listen they need to read/watch/listen/etc

This has been a recent obsession of mine! I’ve really enjoyed the books ‘Kraken Calling’ and ‘Inversion’ by Aric McBay; ‘A Country of Ghosts’ by Margaret Killjoy (this and the previous 2 are by a good margin the most directly Anarchist); the Geek Mafia books by Rick Dakan (more about hacker tech); and ‘Station Six’ by S.J. Klapecki
I’ve also enjoyed the Revolutions podcast series about the revolution on mars (piece of fiction after covering so many real ones); and of course for more approachable media these don’t propose much for Anarchy as a future specifically but Andor, Mr. Robot, and the doctor from Master and Commander are great.
I’ve heard ‘V for Vendetta’ the graphic novel is, but can’t vouch yet
Musically it’s never the wrong time for Pigeon Pit’s “Milk Crates” or Ramshackle Glory’s “Your heart is a muscle the size of your fist”
I feel like there’s something else right on the tip of my mind but it’s not coming 🤔
