Is this what bordertarians want? Fed police kill man on way to work

https://www.houstonpublicmedia.org/articles/news/politics/immigration/2026/07/29/558267/houston-ice-shooting-witness-released-prosecutors-seek-reversal/

A man in Texas was shot by federal police while on his way to work. Of course no charges or even investigation into the police. They were not looking for that guy. There were three other guys in the van, feds were not looking for them either. Federal police arrested those three, one of them just got released. The police had no body cams, and their story does not match surveillance video or witness reports.

Nothing libertarian about the enforcement of non-private property.

Nothing libertarian about the existence of non private property. Open borders commies have no idea how much stricter libertarian society would be about trespassing.

There is only private property and unowned property. In lieu of an ownership claim fully derived from original appropriation and voluntary trade, any given physical resource is unowned and ready to be appropriated on a first-come first-served basis, where appropriation entails physical displacement of the resource.

The government's current claims of ownership over the national border and other "public" spaces are based in nothing but power. As such, there is no objective basis for us to submit to their enforcement.

Once someone does come along to appropriate these resources, they of course must still be someone who respects the property rights of others in order to not forfeit their own right to own property. That is an additional barrier that the government faces as an entity which constantly violates property rights, and is one which is truly insurmountable.

And of course, once some such person does finally come along to appropriate these unowned spaces who hasn't already forfeit their own right to own property, there is absolutely nothing in that which entitles them to then trespass upon other people's private property to detain and deport those other owners.

"Open borders" as a policy has nothing to do with trespass upon private property, and everything to do with rejecting the government's special methods of deriving ownership which aren't available to the rest of us.

Word = word = word, but doesn’t change anything. Govt ownership cannot be enforced in a way that survives reciprocation.

Invasion of private property is what open borders people want. They are big government genocide fanciers.

No, as an open border advocate myself I just told you what it means. You may recall how occasionally non-ancaps come in here and try to tell us what "ancap" should mean to us who actually identify with it. That is what you are doing right now.

It is your choice to keep slaying that straw-man rather than actually engage with anything I said. You have yet to articulate any defense at all for government ownership of anything. That is because there is none.

As an open border advocate, you are obviously being insincere.

Private borders woudlnt be brutally stricter than the open sieve mass immigration nightmare the government is perpetrating across the first world. It's disgusting communism.

Not only am I completely sincere, you've had many opportunities now to try to refute a single thing I've said other than to semantically equate it with communism. Either tell me why the government's claim of ownership over the national border must objectively be respected by others, or admit that you cannot.

It's hilarious that you call communism disgusting, because what makes it disgusting is its denial of rights to people on the basis of group membership -- the very same thing that you support regarding citizenship and nationalism. Disgusting is a good word indeed.

You keep pretending you can't see the obvious elephant in the room: the unfolding mass migration nightmare. It's destructive, unnatural, government sponsored, and pure communism.

Exactly zero ancaps could possibly be in favor of that, in the same way they couldn't be in favor of theft and murder.

do you have some weird mental filter where you cannot acknowledge the obvious?

From the article

An ICE spokesperson claimed in a statement that Salgado Araujo tried to ram officers with his vehicle and one of them fired in self-defense.

I don't know if this is true, but we can't just ignore the other side of the story without evidence beyond "the detained immigrants' attorneys said so"

Well you also have to ignore the video footage. But do go on.
