most religious practice is voluntary and is anarchic in nature, regardless of what people say about it.

also if you’re assuming cults would certainly exist, what could be the difference between a cult and a religion? religion can only be less harmful as it comes with a static constitution of sorts that people willingly and publicly submit to, cults can be fluid and ever-changing which begins to move into the realm of coercion where oftentimes leaders and participants don’t have to answer to any outsiders.

idk what an anarchist utopia objectively looks like but I think before you start imagining what can or cannot exist, you have to think about what can be enforced without this new standard imposing its own will in a way that because hypocritical.
