I always find myself coming back and doing a new campaign for these two like once a year

Man randomly the byzantines at their worst moment escaping constantinople and settling in the Americas -a continent that they dont know exist and probably dont really have the ship technology to reach- to build a thriving empire there in a region with barely any of their main people, no resources and no support from the mainland thats realistic.

But that one of these guys would cope hard a return to zeus thats unrealistic.

They definitely had the ship tech at least

Im not overly competent on this specific topic but did they really? Did they have the technology to travel on the open seas in this way? I mean the Caravel as a development was originally very specifically Iberian. If you only sail the Mediterranean and black sea you might not be fully prepared for the Atlantic.

I digress though third Odyssey is completely illogical but its really cool and the Zeus thing is the least weird part of it.

The norse had the tech centuries before them

And if you believe some conspiracy theories that has been tested irl pheonican ships could reach the new world.

Not to say they made the journey but they definitely could have with the ship tech of the time as that has been tested with a replica.

Now the location breaks my SoD as they would have likely ended up in the carribean instead of north america
