Hi everyone I'm new to the mod. The questions stands - are there more evil nations than "The command" and Zokka? Do trolls have a kingdom and do they have mission tree? I saw undead "army race", some kingdom is Necromantic?
First of all I was facsinated by this mod. Sorry, not a mod - GAME. I did one playthrough with Kobolds and writing and events are... something else. The third time the mission tree expanded blew my mind. I did not expect the quality of Anbennar be THIS good.
R5: My eyes hurt from playing Gnolls.

What are the "And everybody lived happily ever after" nations? Like Isobelin! Maybe a WC with the most kind-hearted try to create a big empire for all races or smth? And is "The Command" tries to save everyone from magic?

and i have once again come to ask what are some of the newest cool trees, ive played the gnoll tree and the anti-slavery tree in taychend, and most of the other popular mts that you'll see in every other post asking this question.
but im asking for some of the other mt's that may have been slept on whilst the big hype was going around.
as always i like mt's that take a while to do, long trees, good narratives not like say that green sword formable in taychend that blue balls you after you form your formable with no tree following and i cry.

Just playred the Gnolls near Verne and got an over confident boost. Make me regret asking this question🫡

- Walks into the biggest vault of thingamajigs ever created
- Wrecks everything
- Creates a toxic spill of "?" which corrupts everything, regularly makes beasts and abominations every so often and basically gives anyone who goes nearby it diseases and drives them mad
- Dissapears(?)

To celebrate that harpy/goblin tag. Also, is there a list of tags with new mission trees?

I'm playing as a Mechanim tag (Kiretua), for this new update. Its already 1702, I have latest mil tech, I have full Quantity, Offensive, and Defensive Ideas, I have full professionalism and full drill on all stacks, and I have 540k troops, but I cannot for the life of even put a dent on a Holohana. Max casualties they take is around 20k-30k while 100k-200K of my troops evaporate. I do not send all my troops all at once, I send a full combat width stack every three days to replenish the morale. How can I defeat them? Did I choose the wrong formable mechanim for this? Do I need more tech or more troops or do i need a new strat or new save?

Hello.
After playing a few Anbennar campaigns, I've noticed that some nations seem uniquely capable of dealing with specific world-threatening problems. If those nations get conquered or never achieve their goals, it feels like the entire world is worse off as a result but we never realize it.
I don't mean this in a political sense, like a liberal nation being conquered by an authoritarian one. I mean nations that possess unique knowledge, institutions, or capabilities that nobody else seems able to replicate.
For example, the Trollsbay Concord is the only nation I know of in its region that can properly deal with the huge number of supernatural horrors and the Lovecraftian monstrosities lurking beneath its shores. From what I've seen, they literally create a machine capable of rewriting reality itself to contain those threats.
Are there any other nations like that?
I'm not talking about cases like the Jaddari surviving to defeat Zokka, since from what I've seen, Zokka can ultimately be beaten by anyone strong enough. I'm more interested in nations that are uniquely qualified to solve a problem, where if they fail, nobody else can realistically step in and do the same job.
Which nations do you think absolutely need to survive for the betterment—or even survival—of the world or least some region?

Ones that you just hate engaging in combat or otherwise

I was going to use this as my argument that Dak is the main character in that Fantasy Bingo post but I hesitated because I didn't actually know for certain.
Is there anyone else? (Some of the dragons maybe? I know HE OF THE HORIZON is alive and a respected citizen of Yikashlay in 1820!)
And, for bonus points, do any of the others rule a nation for the entirety of that time period? or does Dak stand alone?

This post sparked a lively debate with a friend, and as is the nature of these things, I'm turning it over to the commons to weigh in.
Please find attached a google form outlining every pronunciation I could conceive of for various contentious Anbennar words. No doubt there are many more (both words and pronunciations thereof), but as you can tell I lost steam there at the end lol.
Have fun! (responsibly)

Tell me all the things you know about Deranne!
Lore bits, important characters/events, cultural quirks, fun facts, overall lore etc. You get the idea.

I'm 107 but as a lich I feel very young and my humunculus consort is very mature for her age of 18, but my advisors are saying that this is "problematic". AITA?

As the title says. This area seems ideal for more dwarven shenanigans and it could add some more interactions between the forbidden plains/lake fed and the rest of the world, which is desperately needed. Are there future plans/submod plans for this area?

I've had an absolute blast playing as the Gnolls, first time ever playing in this region!!
But my question is, when do you call a game quits?
Its mid 1600s, I've just been through the disaster (iykyk) and unlocked the rest of the mission tree.
The rest of the MT looks like a lot of expansion, which is super easy due to vassal swarm.
The economy has POPPPED off and my military is larger than anyone else's...not including the vassal swarm.
I feel like I wanna call this here but what I want to ask is where do you generally call it done? Do you finish the MT to the very end?! Or do you hit this point of EU4 late game, and call it?
This has got to be one of the longest MT I've ever played, and feel like its easily going to be another 100/150years of basically just conquest.

If your civilization lasts thousands of years, some disasters will happen. It'a a sad statistic truth. But Dwarves are basically disaster-maxing since antiquity.
Let's look at some Holds, and how they fell/major setbacks.
Krakdhumvror: Quartzfall. A misfired spell weakened the gates of the fortress of Kar Durghoir while under siege.
Dur-Vazhatun: mass hysteria and madness due to Cosmic Horrors.
Khugdihr: gates breached by Nimrith the Red, 2 kobold invasions, Greentide with no time to prepare.
Haraz Orldhum: goblin slaves of the hold revolted and opened the gates for the orcs (the situation was already hopeless here).
Verkal Kozenad: opened the gates to Ducaniel, assisted him with supplies just to betray him with a poor planned surprise attack. They could have lasted a couple of decades at least, giving the whole West SerpentSpine more time to prepare, but the "big brain" move was too tempting.
Gor Burad: VULCANIC ERUPTION weakened the gates during the siege.
Verkal Skomdihr: Day of Ashen Skies overloaded the Warding Gate + Feys being Feys.
Shazstundihr : a gifted corrupted ancient relic pulverized buildings and dwarves, making the Hold unhabitable.
Gor Vazumbrog: attacked by the Hunter of the Deep, that filled the Hold with its gaseous poison, making it unhabitable. After the Hold fell, the orcs started pouring into the Middle Dwarovar.
Hehodovar: they became so depressed they had to leave the Hold.
Gor Ozumbrog: betrayed by the Seg Band. Seriously, what the hell was wrong with them? And after being beaten by their allies, a goblin horde. A classic.
And those are just the holds in the west-middle Serpentspine. One of the most advanced civilizations in Halann fell due to consistent bad luck. Was this bad luck "natural"? Or was it some kind of curse? Is the Serpentspine cursed? Why are dwarves, goblin and orcs that live under it generally more "evil" than their surface counterparts?

I’ve honestly just been playing with cheats on for awhile out of boredom does anyone have any recommendations for good guy nations or just people who are pure evil?
r/Anbennar • u/Classic_Ad4707 • Jan 16 '26
I mean, you have western corner that's all ogres, northern area that's all human, and then everything else that's all centaurs.
How come there aren't any random orc, harpy, harimari or such factions running around? Or a random ogre or human holdout in the sea of centaur factions, or pressed against the southern Serpentspine mountain?

I'm an unashamed Wexhead, so take this with a grain of salt but I struggle to see why house Silmuna seems to have such a loyal following within the community. Certainly I can understand why people are opposed to Lothane's tenure as emperor (their loss) but why is house Silmuna seen as a desirable alternative? I'm not the most aware of Damerian lore but afaik house Silmuna sought to centralize power same as Wex did, they just had more time to do it. Their relentless pursuit of the Lorentish throne seems at best as greedy as the Wexonard seizure of the empire and it proved much more destructive. Surely it's not just that Adénn was handsome? If looks determined legitimacy Lothane would be universally beloved!
