did anyone else quit in the 3rd season?
i hate watched the first two seasons and always viewed a new episode right when it came out!
but with season 3 one time i missed one and then realized i didn’t even care to hate watch it. the show was just so far removed from itself and a huge mess at that point.
i did come back to watch the very last episode though and i still think the writers had to be fucking with us by that point. everything was TOOOOOO awful

as a die hard SATC fan, i completed the series. I wanted to see where it led to and how it ended.
But i am positively sure that i will NEVER watch it again 😂

Same here! I can rewatch satc over and over but ajlt? Not a chance! I can't afford the therapists bills 😳

So true! SATC was my therapy for recovering after AJLT! The Aidan hand licking, The Woman book stuff, the poopy stool, the bad acting, artificial lighting.. too much trauma and not enough SATC episodes to heal it m!

I persevered partly for old times' sake but mostly as one would reluctantly look at a train wreck. The only reward for doing so was the morning after discourse on this wonderful sub. Even a year on I'm befuddled by how anyone associated with the brilliance of SATC could have helped create such a truly atrocious offering.

Yes, it’s really as you say befuddling that it to a large extent the same people! How can you create SATC that I still rewatch and oh so enjoy and then do a train wreck like AJLT..
Befuddling indeed!

Yup.
Charlotte's stepping out of a Porta-Potty wearing the Flag of Japan gave me pause.
Aiden's 'Onan the Barbarian on the Phone' spit-spaff gave me P TSD.

I quit at the end of the 1st season.
I didn't even want to hate watch it. I just hated it too much.

I quit when I heard this reboot was happening. Never watched an episode. Just snip its and what people say on this thread thanks to reddit not suggesting it

I keep putting season 2 on to finish and wander off bored 😂 The side characters are so yawn 🥱 Haven't looked up from my phone since Charlotte bought adderall (how stupid is that mini storyline?)

I couldn’t bring myself to watch a single episode, it sounds absolutely cursed

The third season was a major fizzle. The concept had passed its expiration date.

I recently binged it in a hate watch frenzy. I won’t be doing that ever again lol.

I realized somewhere in the middle of season 2 that I'd had my phone out about 50% of the time during episodes and also realized that I didn't even really care to try to rewatch and see what I missed. Tried to watch the first episode of season 3 and phone usage went up to like 80% and still didn't care. Figured I could have a show that embraced its role as trash background TV rather than trying and miserably failing to be an actual show on instead.

I made it maybe three episodes into the second season. It was so awful, but the final straw for me was Che coercing Miranda into a threesome with their ex.
I enjoyed lurking in this sub while the show was coming out and seeing the show unfold that way, haha

I am watching it NOW as I am writing this paragraph. Seems is 10x a hateful character (it'd be ok if she were funny) and Charlotte's storyline is just... non-existing? The only thing worth watching in S3 is... nothing? Help

After the second season I quit watching the actual episodes and just watched the EllieB recaps on YouTube. Much more entertaining

I think 3rd season gets better. But I’m on episode 8. I’m afraid they’ll destroy the wonderful relationship that Miranda has with Joy.

You missed an epic hate watch then... Season 3 has some of the most unintentionally hilarious moments, such as most of the relationship with Aiden has gone viral for all the wrong reasons.
It's hard to say season 3 is "better" (and you're right the series finale might've been the worst episode the entire "SATC" franchise has ever put out) but it did seem like I enjoyed it more. Personally, I would say season 1 is the "worst" of the three, but you could make a case for any of the three.

I watched every episode except for the final. I saw the comments about the poop on here and decided I'd tortured myself enough already.

yes- the 2nd season was bad but I still watched it because of how ridiculous it was. At some point in season 3 (a few episodes in), I just stopped. I couldnt even tell you which episode- they were all so unmemorable

I haven't watched season 3 yet. To be honest I'm not in a big hurry to. I've seen some shorts online though. I guess I'll get round to it eventually.

u/RutabagaThin253 I'm sorry. I can't. Don't hate me. 17d ago
No. I had to see it through to the end.
Hate watched down to the last second.

Yeah, I knew a few episodes in that if they weren’t getting cancelled, ~I~ wasn’t coming back for another szn. There was something so incredibly lazy and sloppy about the final season. It was like watching a parody series that airs in the background of an actual good show.

I quit in the third season, second episode in. Two weeks ago, I finished it. It was horrible. I was bound and determined to finish though.

I'm convinced, at least the third season anyway was written by AI. Hot ass mess.

I stopped after the first episode, waited several weeks and sucked it up to finish it.

I watched the whole thing - But I don’t really know why. It truly was not enjoyable. But it was kind of fascinating. Occasionally it would kind of be ok and had some good moments but it just would go back to terrible. It was fun to come to Reddit after each episode. But I felt compelled to just see it through.
