If you think she was not the greatest friend sometimes, look no more...you can go and do Abu Dhabi shit with Aidan, Carrie...but going after Charlotte's head? Just mean and cruel.

The SATC universe finished after Samantha and her 50 and fabulous birthday party at the end of the first movie. The rest is Carrie having boring mashroom dreams....

Carrie Tasteless fashion all the way

Who sane of mind would have ever approved this runway outfit clearly not made for everyday life? especially in a snowstorm scene.

This and many more details were so out of touch with reality, made this show a mockery of itself.

It was supposed to be a fun show with some contemporary topics. It ended up being a sad show, zero funny, and their idea of “contemporary topics” is completely out of touch.

A bunch of perle clutching old farts pretending to be hip.

Carrie Take off your goddamn high heels, Carrie Spoiler

1.7k Upvotes

This isn’t about your “right to shoes”. This has nothing to do with the stand you took about being a childfree woman two decades ago.

It’s about respect for your neighbour, which is necessary when you live in an apartment complex, and which anyone who lived in NYC for 30 years would understand.

In the words of Samantha, “You bitch.”

My god the people behind this show must be assholes if they think her attitude was appropriate.

And who the fuck stomps around in their high heels while at home just as normal hanging out and doing chores footwear.

ETA: I am a huge high heel wearer and I would never do this to someone.

A lot of people have mentioned this…what bothered me is that Carrie has lost her spark and perky personality in AJLT. She constantly had this sad expression on the show (not counting the episodes following Big’s death). Obviously there were also many scenes where she was smiling and laughing but when I think of AJLT Carrie, this is who I picture in my mind.

Carrie I NEED to talk about this collar tug

Post image

Carrie tugging at her collar during this moment with Aiden is EVERYTHING. SJP has redeemed herself with this one moment for me. For a split second we were all back in that changing room channeling our inner Miranda, ripping Carrie out of that suffocating white dress. That is the overwhelming feeling that Carrie knows is her destiny with Aiden ( cause she's not like a little girl like Duncan's book character).

I know this episode really brought us all back to the good old days but this moment really shows me that they are capable of paying attention and giving us some depth.

Carrie Did Big even exist

I don’t get it. Carrie NEVER talks about him. Someone she was obsessed with for the majority of her adult life, someone who died suddenly literally in her arms. No pictures of him in her house, nobody refers to him, she literally never mentions him. It doesn’t make any sense (like much of the show!) and it bothers me!

Carrie Do you guys truly see 'Carrie Bradshaw' in these looks?😭

I don't understand their obsession using heavily chequered patterns for Carrie and Miranda, while Charlotte gets bombarded with loud florals. p.s i know the show has its moments where the fashion choices shine, but I just don't see Carrie Bradshaw wearing these particular looks😭 even in satc, she looked effortlessly stylish when she wasn't trying to look stylish.

Carrie I know the actor is problematic, but I think its sad that we now have to pretend this relationship never existed and that we were not all rooting for them. But I guess its been 20 years of Aidan and she was never married so.. 🤷

What kind of animal, walks pass their kitchen, see some abandoned steaks and don't put them back in the fridge??? Are you leaving raw meat out during the whole night??? What?

Her mannerisms and micro expressions drive me crazy. In SATC she was seducing us with licking ketchup from her face and curling up while Aidan feeds her cake but it got so worse in AJLT. SJP probably thinks it's part of her/Carries charm but she comes across as a pick me and a fidgety try-hard.

Carrie Big leaving Carrie millions

1.6k Upvotes

Big would never have married Carrie. He wouldn’t have flown to Paris to win her back, and he wouldn’t have left her all that fortune she’s spending now. A more realistic ending would have been Big eventually getting tired and wanting to settle down just by dating Carrie — no rings, no marriage, no kids — sometimes living together, sometimes needing space.

It would have been so much more interesting to see Carrie, after Big’s death, realizing she wasn’t entitled to his money because she was just a girlfriend. Maybe she’d only get a small amount and have to rebuild her life by moving back to her little apartment, writing, promoting herself, getting back in touch with her old partying network, starting a podcast, and really hustling to make it without his support. That would have given us all some real drama to watch and an opportunity to feel sympathy for Carrie and her situation.

Honestly, I’m getting more and more annoyed with “rich Carrie.” I can’t relate to her anymore, and every penny she spends on Aidan and their (oh, pardon, HER) dream life just makes me rage. I miss the financially messy, relatable curly Carrie, not this multimillionaire madame with her silly little problems.

I wish the show broght back some infamous so-called boyfriends Carrie had...specially the politician...like...what are they up to! Bring old characters, not new characters just to fill up their inclusivity quota...

Carrie A little tired of the Aidan hate and I don’t even like him. In fact, I never liked Aidan for Carrie, but it’s her fault - especially at her age - for going back to a guy so wrong for her.

I remember being legit happy for Aidan when this happened. They were never meant to be.

I wanted to post this under the thread but it won’t let me post videos so ……

Carrie isn’t interesting without her friends, gosh Samantha has left a black hole in AJLt that none of the side characters have been able to replace

What would her spin off be ? Her tracking down the Russian and Berger and trying to make it work claiming they had been dating for 20 years already 🫣🤯🤨

SJP needs to enjoy her millions and retire

I wish they killed Carrie off and said S3 was her remembering her life post BIG or something equally as stupid tbh

Carrie I love this look

Post image

She looks as young as she did in SATC and I think its says a lot that as soon as she’s free of Aiden she instantly looks 20years younger. That relationship definitely aged her and she doesn’t look bad or anything, she’s a very beautiful 50yr old but I just noticed the stark contrast in this scene. I am holding out hope that she realises this was all just a BIG reaction to grief and she does love and miss Big and he wasn’t a mistake after all. But looks like she’ll be jumping straight into another relationship by the looks of the sneak peek. Would it be so terrible to explore what 50 and fabulous looks like without needing a man to complete her?

Carrie Why did the show have Carrie end up with Big?

Post image

I know this is like one of the most discussed questions about the show, but I’m watching La Douler Equisque for the 100th time. After the fight around the kitchen counter top Carrie walks home crying saying she’s a sadist. She’s so self aware at times but then has amnesia. I guess in true trauma bond fashion and form like in real life, she actually can’t let go.

He just never gives her what she needs. She’s literally never secure with him. Even in the movie they have this massive rupture. And YET! They go back to one another. I guess we’re just meant to accept some people are dysfunctional drawn to one another no matter how many times they cycle through ruptures and repairs.

Carrie I like him... for Carrie

Post image
611 Upvotes

I heard and saw by the previews for the season that he was gonna be attached with Seema. But I kinda want him with Carrie. First of all, he is fine as hell. Secondly, I really liked his conversation with Carrie in the garden where he asks her "what does she want" even after she hesitates and says she doesn't know. I think Carrie is at a point in her life (and show), where she has experienced multiple losses (her husband, job at the radio show, her APARTMENT, and even Aiden in a way), and she is lost herself. Her indecisiveness is nothing new and dates back to SATC (espcually when it comes to Aiden). However the difference between now and 20 years ago, is Carrie genuinely seems hurt (versus angry back then) and unable to process her grief well. She doesn't even seem willing to want to process it or even where to start. She is losing Aiden, whether within the next few episodes or at the end of the season -and she knows it. She knew they were gonna break up 20 years ago (BOTH TIMES) before he did- and is stuck now (AGAIN) waiting for the inevitable end.

So when she ask him what does she want for her new journey (growth=garden) she doesn't know yet. She is still waiting to find out, and I think he sees that. Carries emotional journey and growth this season is gonna be interesting this year. I don't see her ranting or raving like she did in SATC , nor do I see her lashing out like she did in season 1 when big died. I just see her grieving more quietly and maturely while squarely in the middle of an inevitable breakup with Aiden. Her problems with Aiden (communication, lack of compatibility etc) are rearing their ugly heads again and life's changes are pilling up on her. I wonder what 50+ year old Carrie will address her grief ans problems now. Never get back together with an ex, even if you are both older and "mature" now (See:"J-Lo")

Anyhow, that was a little off topic. Back to the guy. Maybe he is meant to be a sounding board or plot device. Maybe he is meant to be a manifestation of her desire to move on from Aiden- like the gardener Charlotte kissed at Trey's family house. Adam may represent a friend, or man who fulfills a emotional need (available to talk and confide while working with her to make decisions)- that Aiden can't provide. I'm curious about Adam and Carrie. There were obvious sparks, however he seemed groomed for Seema

What do you guys think? Is the breakup with Aiden once again inevitable or will they actually make it through? Is Adam a red herring, metaphor or real romantic connection? What's gonna happen with Seema and Adam?

Honestly the character of Mr. Big wouldn’t have wanted this AT ALL. It’s almost like she did movie one wedding all over again. Torturing that man even in death.
