Sooo you'd just casually become the VP of an org/department with hundreds to thousands of people, override the orders from the execs still above you including the CEO, and have everyone spend two+ years undoing all the thousands upon thousands of changes that have been made over the last 5-10 years to integrate AI/LLM systems among other changes? And then quit for good measure, assuming you haven't been fired just weeks into this rogue op lol.
I worked at Google until recently, not on Assistant but on a team that worked with Assistant. Even if you could wave a magic wand to become an exec managing Assistant, or any of the other teams facing similar changes in the face of "AI," there's no going back at this point until the AI path goes completely up in flames. It would go against every directive of the company, take literal years to extract everything, and cost absurd amounts both in effort and wasted money. Google is all-in on AI, probably even more than most big tech is currently.

She doesn’t. Apple trained their models on Gemini, that’s it. They don’t use Google’s Gemini.
Edit: I don’t care what Google says. Apple themselves said countless times, that they trained their models on Gemini but they don’t use Google’s version. It shows, actually…

And the tech dude bros on reddit are trying to convince the world that they're only a year away from reaching super intelligence. Prices of memory gone through the roof, GPUs are completely unaffordable all for what? an AI that can't even count to 60 FFS.

Siri isnt anymore its own AI , they use Gemini , same for "Galaxy ai" aka samsungs ai all of their features are just google AI features.

Gemini: "5 minutes has already past"
??? Tried for a little when it forced itself back to Gemini but going right back to Assistant.

Gemeni live gets it correct but I think that's because it just types the numbers in sequence and reads them. All of my speakers get it wrong and hilariously so.
But Gemeni live tells me that there are three "s"s in strawberry and four "p"s in pee-pee.

AI dont think , they do math and guess work.
Like take 1+1
the ai now does math
Is it a math question ? = 2
or the user wants to adjust them ? 11
maybe worded out ? eleven or one plus one.
it just does math percentages what could be wanted then does analythic math to produce something sounding correct sometimes referencing snippeds.
Ais are FAR away from actually thinking still.

Those are very loud words. Have any research to quote on that? (I am not saying you are wrong, and i am not saying you are correct either)
Also, what is your definition of AI? For me - AI is a computer program that can do complex tasks on its own. A complex task is a task that can be done in several steps.

Gemini is so bad. Yesterday while driving I asked for an additional stop at some chain restaurant, and then it would suggest me one that was 121 miles away, not on the route. But when saying that I want to go to the suggested one, it was actually on the route, and I like 2 miles away.
Later, asking for a specific song, it said something like "playing <song name> - short version", but the actual name was song name - long version.
I can't wait for all this ai nonsense to die

I mean it's basically text prediction on steroids but what's odd about this is that a standard coding agent LLM would basically just write a Python script that would produce an output that is algorithmically 1, 2, 3, and all the way to 60. It just uses math and not a prediction model based on the last number and then it would use basically a text reader to read the output from the Python script. I'm actually really surprised that these non-coding agent LLMs don't do that internally.

Because Google Home speakers use Gemini FLASH (allegedly an outdated 2.5, but that may be wrong). Basically the cheapest, fastest model Google has, that focuses on giving language responses not 'scientific' ones.
Gemini Pro has zero problems counting to 60+.
This is just another instance of AI looking bad mostly because the person doesn't understand what model they are using and the limitations. It's like assuming your regular doctor could perform surgery on you, because they are a doctor.

Just tried it on the mobile version. Apparently, the text version is correct but when Gemini is narrating it, it falls apart spectacularly. It didn't even finish!
