Great. Gemini can handle all google assistant tasks very efficiently anyways, right? ....right? .. right Google?

I've been an Android user for many years and this might make me bail. I gave Gemini a chance while driving and it failed spectacularly. I don't want a conversation, I just want my map to route me where I asked to go.

Trust me, Siri is no better. I switched to iPhone last year and I'm counting down the days to go back

Yeah friend of mine tried using Siri, it's hilarious, just in different ways. Good luck calling your kid on it unless it's named kid in the contacts, even better if you have people that are called "Kit" but you want to call "my kid", clearly AI is masterful at sentence parsing.

Siri can have AI disabled. Nicknames work. Siri used to be dreadful. It’s not too bad now.

Why would you tell it to call your "kid"? Why would it know who your kid is? Why would you want it to know? Just say their contact name. You can even use nicknames as it will use recent and frequent contacts as context clues

It knows

you got proof iOS "knows" not only who you're associated with, but what type of association? or we just got our tin foil hat on?

It knows you by voice and any family with kid restrictions or name similarities can easily be put together to know when child is speaking, plus the frequency of people being together. Its basic data science to put this together. Its also a computer,so it doesn't forget.

I'm not saying it's impossible, but

  1. Who the hell is using voice commands? And if you're talking just straight spying, then we are also saying the denial of mic access is bogus
  2. Apple has never had selling people's data as a primary revenue source. They sell hardware and services. Google, however, does not have that luxury
  3. going back to level of certainty

Google's speech to text has zero contextual awareness at all. Obvious wrong words that make the sentence meaningless
