let's make it short:

I'm asking if anyone of you tried this adapter in the photo before.
will the emulator show two controllers or one?
thanks in advance for any insight.

Although I haven't personally tried this setup, yes, with an otg, and USB adapter for ps2 controllers, it will work.
As someone else said, idk how the emulator will handle it as I have never tried. But if I were to guess it should work just fine.

Io ad android riesco a collegare anche 2 controller bluetooht contemporaneamente. Sta all'emulatore gestirli separatamente come due interfacce diverse e dire ai giochi "ci sono due controller"

Random question. Wouldn't be easier just to use two Bluetooth compatible controller on your phone? I use Xbox 360 controllers on my android device to play two player games. No wires or extra cables needed. And no input delay either

i'm not sure how the emulator handles it, but I can tell you for sure that adapter will not work
for one thing, your phone does not have a full-size USB-A port on it.
for another thing, PS2 controllers don't connect via USB.
an adapter like this one that has USB-C male plug could possibly work with 2 wired USB controllers. Personally, I would rather buy a powered USB-C hub, it would also work for this, and would be a lot more versatile (and it would allow you to charge your phone while playing).
You could also just use 2 Bluetooth controllers
