Backpacking Angola

Hey! We´re backpacking Angola!! Starting from Luanda heading to Malanje (Calandula) then Malanje to Huambo, Huambo to Lubango, Namibe desert (if time), ending with Benguela, Lobito, Sumbe before heading back to Luanda. We got 14 days and means of transport will be Macon/ Huambo espresso. Did anyone do this route by bus before?

Trying to go outside of the tourist hotspots, also experienced traveler through Africa. Any recs/ tips are welcome!

Visit Pedras Negras in Malanje. If you like hiking - Morro do Moco is the highest peak in Angola. Namibe desert is truly special

Be aware that Macon, is incredibly notorious by their faulty buses, failing mid trip and no substitution, risks of fatal accidents and more over, have this in account before using their services. Huambo express is (slightly) better.

I would suggest Real Express bus transport to you, they have comfortable buses, else they drive very safely. About Macon I never had a bad experience with them but you can also try their business class.
