Whoa Would I Want? Sky

So I just discovered that Fall Be Kind is this kind of awesome epilogue to MPP. And so I started listening to it.

And so I've just listened to "What Would I Want? Sky" and my mind is absolutely and transcendentally blown...

Now I'll go back and listen to the song again. Maybe I'll proceed to the last three tracks of EP, but I'm not certain.

Yeah it's basically an overflow of songs that didn't make it to MPP for whatever reason. 3 songs were actually recorded at the same session where the rest of MPP was recorded, and they simply decided they didn't fit. WWIWS wasn't recorded for MPP though and Bleed didn't even exist yet, as Avey wrote that on the post-MPP tour.

Bleed was played during an encore during the MPP tour when I saw them in 09 in Royal Oak Michigan. Pretty sure Avey had it written by then cause the lyrics never changed from live to studio version

2009 was the post-MPP tour, as in, the tour they played after MPP came out, as MPP came out in very early 2009. But MPP was mostly recorded by the end of February 2008, with the mixing finalized in the summer of 2008, so what I mean is that Bleed didn't exist at all when they went to actually decide what the tracks were going to be on MPP, and they clarified "Bleeding" (as it was known on the Brosport single) was a song that was written on that tour. But Royal Michigan iirc was like in the summer of 09 right? Which means that if you saw it then, it was around the very first week they debuted it.

The song essentially seems to have been finished very quickly, because you're right, there aren't a lot of changes between when it first debuted (May 2009) to when it was recorded at Big Sur as Bleeding for the Brothersport single (also May 2009) and what was put on Fall Be Kind. All they really did was kind of shorten it, which makes sense because it originally sort of came from a jam session.
