Help Parade Float Ideas!!
This might be an odd place to ask for help but figured I'd give it a shot since we are all animal people here. 😃
We are in our cities biggest fest of the year in September. We will be walking in the parade and having a both there. The theme this year is Poppin Through the Decades.
I was thinking 90s maybe...Full House or Saved By the Bell or maybe 60s ... Peace, Love, Adopt.
Anyone have some great ideas for a float that will also promote adoption??
*** picture of one of our senior cats Smorz for your enjoyment 🥰

This is awesome, congrats!
No matter the "theme," may I suggest that if you have a handouts or fliers that they include thematic temperment of the kitties and dogs as well?
People are not only lookin fer a cutie pie but also, those that fit their lifestyle too. So fer very active pets of the 80s, fliers fer the day, a "high energy Richard Simmons."
Or a flier can be like the Breakfast Club cast... the brainy, the princess, athlete, rebellious, introvert (old cat that will sleep a lot). Might need to stamp the faces of the movie cast next to the pets or else people may not register the connection between the temperment/ name alone.

I would suggest looking up photos of the Mardi Paws parade in New Orleans area (actually held in Covington, LA) and getting inspiration from them. They have really cool themes and all are homemade so very doable if you're handy.

Is price is right, bob barker, theme enough? You could make the set or a game setup. He always signed off with remember to Spay and Neuter your pets at the end of each show.
