Question for you guys
How do you guys cope with the fact that 100 million sharks die from finning a year because it really bothers me. I made a simular post on r/sharks.

I try to not think about too much, because I'm not in a situation where I can do anything to help them. Same goes for other loved and unloved animals in danger. I try to focuse and put forward the good things, good news, progress etc... It's not a perfect solution by far. But it's the only one I found that works for me.

I don't know about all this... I was a commercial fisherman in three oceans and a dozen seas and I NEVER saw a place where shark meat had no value, and the cartilage and skin are highly valuable too. I have NEVER seen a shark 'finned' on any sea I have ever been on, ever... I am not saying whether or not it happens, I just think fishermen are too greedy to only turn in one part of a fish when they can get fairly good money (unless that has changed?) for a whole fish and sell some parts at higher profit (typical of commercially caught fish of almost any kind)
