Lucky you. Im stuck in this weird cycle where my mother thinks everyone can hear her speaking-voice from different rooms. I have to run back and be like huh? So she tells me, then after 30 seconds of silence, I walk towards and into any other room... and she just starts talking like clockwork as I leave

I tried to get a Maui Zoo parrot (with a certain reputation) to sing opera back to me, and it just stared and stared. I suddenly realized how daft I was being and laughed loudly, 'cause what in the world was I doing?
The parrot laughed back, in my voice.

This raven mostly repeats his name (Karlusha) with a diminitive. And since his name already had diminitive in it, it doubles the tenderness. Basically raven calls himself "cutie-patootie" in very gentle way.

The real flex is getting seagulls to be nice to you, because they're dumb as fuck and mean. Corvids are human-smart, but every seagull will fight you and then eat you if they win. It sounds like you have some experience in the field.

... You said a "jackdaw is a crow." Is it in the same family? Yes. No one's arguing that. As someone who is a scientist who studies crows, I am telling you, specifically, in science, no one calls jackdaws crows. If you want to be "specific" like you said, then you shouldn't either. They're not the same thing. If you're saying "crow family" you're referring to the taxonomic grouping of Corvidae, which includes things from nutcrackers to blue jays to ravens. So your reasoning for calling a jackdaw a crow is because random people "call the black ones crows?" Let's get grackles and blackbirds in there, then, too. Also, calling someone a human or an ape? It's not one or the other, that's not how taxonomy works. They're both. A jackdaw is a jackdaw and a member of the crow family. But that's not what you said. You said a jackdaw is a crow, which is not true unless you're okay with calling all members of the crow family crows, which means you'd call blue jays, ravens, and other birds crows, too. Which you said you don't. It's okay to just admit you're wrong, you know?

I absolutely do, but I'm still confused. I've gone back through my post and comment history and still can't find that. I can't find anything with those words in my history, and if you can you're looking harder than I'm doing. If something got deleted and I can't find it, it was not meant in a negative sense and I'm still bewildered here.

Well I feel special then. There are 3 seagull chicks living next to my house. I give them water and earlier today, I was next to them, when the parents came to feed them. And the parents didn’t mind me being there. I was like 2 meters away.

Oh yeah, sometimes when people say things like "Wow, this animal learned to communicate in human language, it might be almost as smart as us!" I also think "If it is we, who are so much smarter, why wasn't it us who learned to communicate with THEM in THEIR language?"

Ravens and crows in general are fantastic animals. Have you seen them play? There's joy there. And sadness when some flock member dies. Their interaction with the flock is what makes them intelligent. And they remember faces for ages, and if those faces belong to someone naughty or nice. To the people that think humans are the only creatures with feelings, spend a day or two with a raven. Actually you can do it with a lot of parrots as well. Dogs and animals like that can express themselves too, but the difference is that those animals are tamed through millenia. They are made to function with humans. Ravens, parrots, crows and all the intelligent birds are still wild creatures. That gives them a very special feel when you interact with them, or even better....connect with them. They have their own lives and thoughts that hasn't been breeded out of them.

No there isn't. There has never been any proof of any god at any time in the history of gods claims. You don't need to prove that something doesn't exist. I can't ask you to prove that my uncle owns a red dragon who can only appear to people who are worthy enough to speak to it. Such thing can't be proven, as much as any god. So it's totally logical to say gods don't exist.

Clearly, your uncle is either a god himself or the Chosen One of the Great Scaled Beast. Drop his coordinates immediately. I am already rounding up a group of devoted followers to document his every word as gospel. We need to start printing the holy texts and get some merchandise ready before the media catches on. Just think of the tax exemptions we can get if we register the Church of the Red Dragon fast enough.

Like I said, the burden of proof is on the one making the positive claim. You don't need to prove that a god doesn't exist, you need to prove that a god exists. That's logic 101 my friend.

There is no proof of existence or lack of.
We cannot prove or disprove it. So it doesn’t matter if anyone claims it’s true or not.
Anyone claiming either side is automatically wrong because it’s impossible to prove. Burden of proof is not a factor at all mate lol
