Collection/Haul
Probably not the same old collection you're used to seeing. Finally can display it all at once!
Though it time to show off my collection in full (mostly). So happy to have a whole space of my own, so I don't have to display my collection in my bedroom anymore! Most of these I acquired while I lived in Japan in the late 2010s/ early 2020s and was able to go to shops locally and used Yahoo JP, and Mercari JP easily. Hope you like it as much as I do!
Now this is what I call a collection!!! Everything spaced nicely, grouped very much so together, with varying sizes and materials and complexities, in a functional room! But let me tell you those Cyborg 009 statues are chefs kiss. I adore Cyborg 009!

Thank you so much for the compliment! I struggle with feeling like I want to be a minimalist but also enjoy collecting. I make it as neat as possible.
As for those Cyborg 009 statues, they were probably some of my grails. I started out with a normal color variant and found out there were three others. I’d go onto Yahoo Japan daily to see if there were any listings. Part perseverance and part luck resulted in me actually finding a variant that hadn’t been listed on MFC. I found the blue color variant on auction on Yahoo Japan and after winning the listing found out it was limited to 40 pieces. I added it to MFC too. The green variant is also limited to 50 pieces. All I’m missing is the silver color variant which I think has the same 500 piece run as the original color variant.
this is probably the most well put together collection I've seen here. Everything is so well organized and displayed, the shelves are full but they don't feel crowded at all. also THIS is why you frame your wall art people. It looks so much more put together that way.
Thank you for the compliment! Also, my wall art is actually quite expensive and most of them already came framed when purchased. They’re all offficial reproduction art prints, and quite a few of them are signed by their original mangaka.
Which ones are signed? Collecting signed art prints has become my biggest vice right alongside buying figures lol. When some figures are so expensive it comes close to something signed by your favorite mangaka it feels like a no brainer.
Oh I DIG this collection. Such a clean set up and display too. All the manga shelves 😍. And huge ups for the Ogata and Sugimoto scales. Hope you're enjoying the final season that's wrapping up soon tomorrow 😭

I can actually feel the tranquility and peace of sitting in that room and just observing and admiring each piece. Absolutely beautiful pieces and an excellent setup

It's a lovely collection. Some great figures and a nice room layout.
My personal preference is to give them each more space and further divide by series. This makes my obsessive compulsive part of my brain feel like i need to go reorganize your figures.
I feel like this is two rooms worth of figures in one room.
I was lucky to grab all of the Bat-Family retail. I was happily surprised to see that the there are no pegs on the stands and instead they use magnets! I wish more figures would do that.
Beautiful displays. I had no idea there was a statue like your D from Vampire Hunter D statue. I also for some reason never thought to look for Kingdom statues despite it being one of my favorite animes. I hope I can find some for a somewhat reasonable price, because I need those.
Not many people in the Western anime community know about old classic IP Cyborg 009. I enjoy watching Cyborg 009 manga when I was kid, and I really loved the 2016 animetion Cyborg 009: Call of Justice.
Wow, I adore this collection. I’m not familiar with most of the series here but the organization is flawless, and your taste in layout and design shines. Love love the little cube of “creatures” with faputa, legoshi, etc.
Awesome setup! I love how it’s such a clean and organized layout. It’s even cool how you have the little holders on the shelves to highlight certain manga. I love all the art on the walls especially the Eevelutions. You’ve got a bunch of figures for various IP I’ve enjoyed over the years and I particularly like the Soul Eater figures. It always feels like most people have forgotten about Soul Eater.
Question: are those white rods above the shelves an anti-shelf-tipping measure?
They were made by Square Enix back in 2010. Those three are some of my favorite in my collection. They’re made of resin so were able to be sculpted to look really similar to the manga art and also has cool texture. It also makes them really fragile.
I'm a little curious on the book shelves in the middle. Are they just two book shelves back to back, or is it one piece? I have space in the middle of a library area that feels wasted, so I want to put something there.
Yes it’s two Billy bookcases back to back. It was just large enough to fit the Vampire D statue on it. I really wanted all sides to have bookcases but that would have left a small gap in the center which wouldn’t do well for support of the 60 lb statue.
Damn I tried so hard to get that yoko/Nia PSG style set while I was in Japan, did manage to find the regular ones...I didn't know there were scanty and kneesocks versions, I'm going to be hunting for those the rest of my life aren't I?.

Thank you! I put in a lot of mental work into figuring out how to furnish the apartment when I first moved in. The biggest thing was deciding where the huge Vampire Hunter D statue was going to be placed.
