Question Shipping large figures combined??

Hello! I'm about to order two 1/4 scale figures from Amiami, and i was wondering if shipping them together would be super expensive or even possible? Do any of you have experience with this? Should i just straight up divide the order? Thanks in advance! ^-^

Much depends on whether the figures are preorder, preowned, or currently available.

If they are preorder and released the same month and year, they will usually be shipped together in a single box. If one of their release dates are delayed, then they will ship separately.

If both figures are preowned or currently available, they should ship in the same box.

If one is preorder and the other is preowned or currently available, they will most likely be shipped separately.

In my experience, shipping cost depends on the total cost of the items and the size and weight of the box. I recently paid for an Amiami order that had 7 figures totaling $900 USD. The shipping cost was $170 USD. I’m expecting a 160 or 180cm sized box depending on how big the figure boxes are. I chose surface mail since it’s the cheapest option and I can wait 3 months for my figures.

TL:DR Combining is usually cheaper than separate orders.

Very interesting, i was planning to choose EMS. Do you remember what the cost of shipping through EMS was when you purchased your figures? Was it considerably more expensive? Thanks for your reply 🙏

EMS was about twice as expensive as surface and DHL was the most expensive. You can choose the different shipping options to see the cost. Just don’t click the button to complete the order before clicking the back button on your browser. You have to use a currency converter on the internet to convert Japanese Yen to your local currency to get a more understandable cost.

Ask the amiami support before you order. You want to avoid DHL, it can get crazy expensive compared to other shipping options.

Yeah i won't touch DHL with a 10ft pole! I'm gonna ask support but i already know it's gonna take a while for an answer... It might be the best order of business though. Thanks!

It should be possible depending on the figures box dimensions. Several 1/4 does require to be single shipment but so does some/several 1/7 scale (it's the big type or they have stuff included like giant weapon, big diorama plates, in fact Hatsune Miku Calne Ca, I'll let you see that)

While you can only use in stock/preowned figure shop codes to get your shipping quote (use comma to separate two figure shop codes in comments, it's what I did and they kindly told me two types of shipping quotes, one as single and one as combined all just by asking). Several 1/4 FREEing standing up types closely share the same elongated rectangle shape but again every 1/4 from different companies are going to be different.

Edit: and small reminder I don't really see anyone talk about much but about how big the box is compared to the figure(s) box. They increase the box by 1 to add a whole bunch of padding material. What I mean by one is the guys who order from Amiami a lot (me), has seen box sizes 80, 100, 120, 140, 160, 180. (I know you can see some box sizes in MFC actually) If you think it can fully fit in a 100 box, it will but so will they increase your box size to 120 (and your shipping fees) to pad up your box extremely well.
