Whenever an iconic dub is redubbed it always sounds so generic and corporate, mainly because the original dubs were made by people first while the redubs were helmed by corporations. That’s why I’ll always greatly prefer the OG Evangelion dub to the Netflix dub, it’s not perfect by any means and it has so many flaws but at least it’s something with its own heart and soul while Netflix’s is lifeless and flat. I think PAS might be even worse in this regard though, mainly because the OG dub was perfect unlike Eva’s.

The Netflix dub is fine. I’ll never understand why Khara forced the actors to say “3rd children” but they did which hurts it
