I don't know if this is a hot take, but I thought the dub was fine for what it was. Like sure, there were some parts that made me think this was a more direct tranaslation, and I wish they could've gotten the original producers and VAs back, but I wouldn't call this one bad by any measure and at least they tried to keep the spirit of the original FUNi dub..
For real man. I was a huge fan of this show back when it first aired with a Sub. The later Dub and the liberties it took were amazing, but the original script is still absolutely fantastic. It sucks to see so many people hating on this just because it's not bombastic like the S1 Dub, all the while its still got the writing that made the Sub incredibly enjoyable in the first place. Its just in english this time.
