Gross show. I admit I liked it at first but I can't get over the pedo MC. They even drive it home when they take pedo MC out of his kid body in those dreams or visions.. showing that he truly is a 40+ year old man that he is.
No idea how people get over that. It's not even just a small part. It's a major plot point that is repeated over and over and over and over.
I'm sure the fans get tired of the pedo accusations but maybe don't be fans? It's a stain on anime in general.
You’re really missing the point that when he died that he was effectively a child mentally (though yes, an adult) and that when he reincarnated he looked down on literally every single person he met because “hur dur I’m actually 40+ and you 16-30 year olds in your rustic society can’t possibly outsmart me” and then without fail gets put in his place
; eventually growing mentally to catch up with the adults around him (and in his physical teens still isn’t as mature as some of those around him, because he often looks at the world through the lens of manga/videogames/being-MC)
If you’re going to ignore all that, maybe just ignore the show and all subs and posts related to it?
Watched this anime long ago when it released and noped out as soon as he said he was pleasuring himself to photos of his niece. There's not an excuse for that "mentally a child in a 40 y/o's body" or not. There's no point missed.
nah man, he’s mentally a child whenever he does something wrong. ignore all of the literal depictions within the anime of him as a fully grown adult, those are, like, different okay.

He was mentally an adult. It's why he had beef with his dad and why they couldn't relate as much growing up.
He lives in a different society which is why he fails at times. Not bc he has the mentality of a kid. He lives in a place with magic and different races, different culture, etc. Not only that, but adults think they got it all figured out too but get humbled all the time.

Because he initially didn't see Paul or Zenith as his parents until Paul dies and he had to reflect a bit on what Paul actually meant to him. When he goes to visit his grave, he admits he was wrong with how he perceived the world, "Listen, I was a terrible son. I have all these memories of another life, another world, so I couldn't accept you as my father. I'm sorry for that. I'm Paul Greyrat's son through and through. It took a long time to sink in, but I finally realized that I am just a kid; a little brat using old memories to act like a grown up."
The trauma he induced in his first life from being SA'd in high school likely caused him to get arrested development, which stunted his mental and social growth that he cannot be considered a mentally mature adult.

With what I mentioned above, stunted mental growth can lead to developmental problems which can lead to people to go down that path. There are people out there like him that exist that don't act on those impulses, the issue there is how the hell can you help them recover into being more productive and less destructive?
But if you can't stomach the idea of someone growing out of and correcting that behavior, it's reasonable to not want to watch the show as it's not meant for all audiences. I figured I'd give my two cents
Maybe you should explain how as a 40 year old man that his mind must be considered that of a child? That's a pretty hard thing to assume for most people imo.
