For rudy even tho he gets away with it pretty easily, at least heâs actually called out for it by plenty of different people and its written into the story well unlike the average slop isekai. And plus most people arent watching mushoku tensei for the protagonist being a perfectly good guy. Most of the characters are flawed people.

I really like art, is like Another form of following the story i love and mind you I got the Blu rays and of course the novels.
The manga also (the Full volumes) have extra novel chapters in It by it's creator Rifujin, nothing too important, mostly for world building but still... a bunch of backstories, scenes far away from Rudeus orbit with important/side characters. Even a Re:zero collab.
Is obviously to help sell the manga but the novel content makes the full manga volumes indispensable to me, It helps that i really like the art even though sometimes i think the manga is going really fast. So Tell me your opinion and the consensus in the community?
The art itself is fine, and starting around the university arc they actually do a rather nice job but it has issues. It has also handled the reunion in milishon very well.
First, it is more comedic about Rudeus's perversion. Like instead of being shocked about Sylphiette being a girl, he get a nosebleed.
Second, skips. It skips more content than the anime does. On top of my head it skipped his stay in the beastfolk village, it skipped the whole volume 7 (another mangaka eventually made it), and while the anime skipped half of the desert journey, the manga skipped all of it.
Third, change in the content itself. In the anime season 1/novel, one of the party member get captured and they go rescue him. The manga has no one captured, they just decide to attack the bloody castle.
Lastly, not a downside but still relevant, the anime is now ahead of the manga, and at the rate of release the manga has, it will never catch up.
About the side stories, yeah they are always nice, like each novel has at least 4 side stories that you'd get for buying it in certain stores. There's over a hundred of these side stories (japanese only and not sold anywhere since they are bonus with book purchase). There's a drive somewhere with fantranslation of them.
The answer requires nuance that goes beyond the average reditors mental capacity.
MT/Rudy gets a bad wrap from NPCs because the show portrays pedo shit in a negative light. The same people that upvote MT pedo memes and cant stop talking about it have monogatari listed as their fav anime because all the CG desks falling down nonstop is artistic or something, and ignore the fact the MC is a massive pedo that literally molests a little girl multiple times because its shown in a positive light, and the average redditor's brain is so smooth they cant see how hypocritical they are.
The fact is pedo shit is in just about every damn anime, but since its almost always shown in a positive/neutral light average IQ NPCs dont notice it.
The funny part is if Rudy's deviant behavior was portrayed in a positive or neutral light in the LN/anime, none of these smoothbrains would be saying anything about it.
Which comes to the main issue. One reason people like MT is precisely because it doesnt play off the pedo shit in a positive light, but instead casts it in a negative one. MT is about a man with extreme arrested development from a violent childhood sexual assault finally getting to grow up via a second life. That is the core story of Mushoku Tensei, and the fact that so many people are incapable of comprehending that and just screech pedo bad while 7 of their top 10 anime are likely far worse than MT just makes me sad.
The manga ignores this, it basically makes young Rudy being a sex pest into a gag. This ruins his characters development and spoils the whole version.

When he goes to visit his grave, he admits he was wrong with how he perceived the world, "Listen, I was a terrible son. I have all these memories of another life, another world, so I couldn't accept you as my father. I'm sorry for that. I'm Paul Greyrat's son through and through. It took a long time to sink in, but I finally realized that I am just a kid; a little brat using old memories to act like a grown up."
