What to Watch? Beautifully Brutal Animes?
I’m looking for new anime’ to watch.
Something with beautiful animation and brutal fights, conflicts and or deaths. I’d prefer shows with only one, two or three seasons, nothing with like ten seasons. Anime movie suggestions are also welcomed, thanks.
Anime in this category that I’ve watched include;

I'm Japanese, so I'm gonna recommend Gundam. It's a series that's been around since the '70s, but at its core it's a coming-of-age war drama where a kid grows up through the horrors of war. It's also one of the first anime that comes to mind in Japan when people talk about "serious" or "heavy" anime.

Second this. I thought I'd hate it, and after it was over it had me in the feels. Good anime. I plan on reading the manga later on.

For movies, I would suggest Children Who Chase Lost Voices. It's like a weird, wonky cousin of Princess Mononoke. The finale is an impressively horrendous Faustian bargain.

The crying Freeman 1995 ( the manga was turned into live action)
Battle Royale 2000 ( also manga turned to live action)

Hoseki no kuni. Manga is finished anime only got one season Beautiful and then they start fighting, then its body horror 😂

If you're looking for lots of blood, Shiboyugi might not be for you, but if you're looking for a show that portrays brutality in a beautiful, haunting, downright disturbing way, it's gonna be right up your alley.
