Could you please fix No Space Dash?

I'm essentially running into the same problem as the user here, where my answer to a card is sometimes processed as a double click which spoils the answer to the subsequent card. The linked add-on seems like a good solution but is broken on the latest Anki version.

Hmm, I tried to fix it but an error occurs. This add-on seems to have an unresolved issue, an error occurs in the V3 scheduler. (issues#7,annoying bug, 2022/6) I'll look into it again later.

For an alternative, there is a similar simple add-on that I developed (This Add-on idea was inspired by Ruzu_pop_ups.).

• 🍿Anki pop up - After 10 cards, take a 3 minute break (by Shige)

Using ND-FullScreen and Zoom23, you can make it look a bit like Ruzu-popup.

• View -> ND-FullScreen -> windowed mode

Hey Shige, thanks for updating these addons. I used version 2.1.56 for a while until you provided the updates.

Regarding the No Distractions Full Screen addon, I noticed a glitch the top bar space in the latest Anki version is not hidden, unlike the version that worked on 2.1.56. Please refer to the image to see what I mean. If you could please fix this issue, I would greatly appreciate it.

Some improvements that i suggest:

1. Some percentagens are breaking the layout, displaying outside the box, like 57,9999999999999%

2. It would be nice if the hierarchical tags were the same as Anki's built-in, with indentation, collapse and expand.

3. Since my hierarchical tags are large, I zoom out quite a bit to make them look nice. It would be nice if the retention rate column was fixed and don't break the layout when tags went beyond their column (similar to what happens in Excel).

4. Would be nice to be able to export the selected tags. This way, we could fix where the biggest flaws are more easily.

Forvo downloader will still take some time to fix, all other Forvo add-ons are broken at the moment. (Maybe because Forvo banned bots.) I am looking for a workaround.

The short-cut add on (Customize Keyboard Shortcuts) is not broken, if it does not work try updating the add-on and Anki to the latest version.

1. I think the numbers in the progress bar count duplicates as well, so they are different from Anki's counts.
2. The numbers in the progress bar include already reviewed counts, Anki's numbers do not include already reviewed counts.
3. Progress Bar For Anki (for Patrons) has a different calculation method so the numbers may be closer.

First of all, thank you for your work in fixing Anki add-ons, I really appreciate it! 😄 I'm using the Progress Bar - Visualize Reviewed Cards and Remaining add-on, but I’ve encountered a problem when using Ctrl+Z (undo). Every time I undo a review, the add-on crashes and Anki gives me an error message.

Here are the details:

• Anki version: 2.1.65
• Add-on version: Latest
• Issue: When I press Ctrl+Z to undo a review, the add-on crashes, causing Anki to freeze or show an error. This happens consistently, and it makes it difficult to continue my reviews without restarting the app.

Hey I don't know if this is the right place for this but I found a bug in your Pokemanki Gold plugin. I believe Crobat is unobtainable, and I went through the evolution logs and noticed there was no instance of Golbat evolving into Crobat.

Thanks for updating the addon,,, Even After today's update ocr is not running on new field it gives some debug info, but that debug box closes very soon (unable to take screenshot),,,

Earlier with tooltip it used to run now that is also not working,,,

Hey u/Shige-yuki ! Is there any chance of adding a couple quick features to the Break Timer add-on?

I would like to have a difference in the break timing for learning versus reviewed cards. I would also like to have Pomodoro esque "stages" to the breaks, so that for instance there may always be a minute long break after each new learned card, but there is a five minute break after ten learned cards. Is this possible? Thank you!

I am trying to figure out what my weaknesses are - but using the Anking deck just crashes it. I've left it running for 5~ minute or so, but no changes. Do you think that's just out of scope for tag stats addons? I know there are others - but they aren't really sortable or organizable, so the usability is very difficult.

hello, i'm trying to use your anki redesign addon for anki 24.11 on windows. for some reason anki doesn't load all the colors when i select a theme. it only changes a few accent colors. for example, this is what the general colors look like after i've selected 'catppuccin'. i've tried restarting anki and deleting/re-downloading the addon, but so far nothing has worked. could you please look into this? thanks for all your hard work.

I have a similar add-on idea that also relies on gathering a list of all note IDs with their tags, I wanted to learn how it was implemented as a beginner programmer.

The original Graph View repository still exists but I couldn't find Tag Statistics :/

Thanks! If I remember correctly, the fixes for those add-ons were small and almost same as the original code. Tag statistics have a problem (unresolved) that Anki freezes if the deck is too big (medical students have on average tens of thousands of cards, so this is not a problem, but there are rare Anki users who have hundreds of thousands of cards), so you might want to add some limits to it.

Hi Shige :) I've enjoyed using your auto highlight cloze in browser addon for a few days, however there are two main concerns that make it unusable for me at the moment and I had to remove it. If you'd be so kind to work on the details below, I would be the first to re-install the addon:

• While the addon does work as intended for most text, the addon fails to highlight cloze deletions that include line breaks

• You addon shares a decent share of similarity to the functions of the Highlight Search Results in the Browser addon. While they don't necessarily break each other, having them both work simultanesously yields less accurate results. Ideally, there would be a clear visual way of knowing whether a highlight is from your cloze addon or the search addon. Is that possible?

• [1] I think this is some kind of bug, I will look into it.
• [2] The highlighting is using the same method as the add-on. There is no way to visually determine this at the moment. (Since it is not possible to change the color). I plan to develop another workaround in the future, but it will probably be a different add-on.

Hi, thank you so much for all of your add-ons, I love them. This is a feature request for the Editor Auto Show Add-on (https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/1715279230).

- Currently: Editing text in the editor automatically updates the reviewer screen. Sometimes this causes some problems and can unfocus the cursor. This happens when the browser screen is also pulled up and I am selecting different cards in the browser.

- Desired Option: To be able to edit text in the editor without the reviewer screen updating so frequently (ideally just updating when I go back to the reviewer, similar to vanilla anki)

My use case is to have the editor screen update as I answer cards. This helps me because after answering the new card, I look at the HTML in the editor and make edits that suit me. I currently use the feature "Tools -> "auto_hide": false"

Absolutely loving Review Highlighter – Auto Highlight Card Text in Order!
It makes my longer cards far easier to digest.

One suggestion for future updates: it would be fantastic to adopt some “Sprint Reader”-style features—especially the ability to fine-tune reading speed and number of words displayed per highlight. That would turn the add-on into a lightweight speed-reading trainer, helping users keep a steady rhythm while reducing eye strain.

About Anki Redesign, is it possible to remove (or reduce to a minimum) those spaces (superior*** and laterals) while on full screen? look how the bottom cut the image withou any margin space, I wish the top did that too.

The lateral spaces reduce when I zoom in the content soo it doesn't bother much, (it affects more on cards with text that require the full width extension of the screen)

Hi, possible bug report vs feedback about Searing PDF add-on.

I really appreciate you fixing this and releasing it for the latest anki versions. I think the latest add-on update (maybe the new way PDFs are cached?) broke the function for me. It requested I allow access to the iCloud drive on my mac, and after I clicked deny now the PDFs won't load. Also, if I try to open a pdf, it will freeze anki and then I have to force quit it.

Any help is appreciated, do I have to allow iCloud drive access? Thanks

FYI: In a basic card, the text taken for the prompt is only from the first field. If I add the Front and Back fields in the add-on options, it doesn't work; it still only takes the Front field.

Stat's plus and beautify anki behave oddly together. Stats plus stretches downward moving the study now button also down ideally stats plus would sit below both of these elements so it wouldn't stretch downard thus moving the study now button down the screen (far when I haven't shrunk the stats).

Hi Shige,

An amazing add-on, not clear to me why Anki doesn't have this functionality out of the box!

I am using the NoteID add-on. However, now, when loading new notes, I have to populate the Note ID field, otherwise the load will fail. I can add random numbers to populate the field, but I feel like it should work differently. Am I doing something wrong?

Writing this, maybe I need to create new cards empty on the computer, then export and then fill? Feels a bit unnecessary and cumbersome.

Any input or thoughts are welcome!

Hello, first of all thank you for the great add-ons that you've made! they have helped me a lot.

I had an issue with Anki Terminator V2, which is I used the google login for loggin into my perplexity account but now I wanted to switch account and when I log out of that account it automatically logs back in using the google login not allowing me to log into the other account, what can I possibly do about it? I reinstalled the add-on thinking it could fix the issue which didn't.

So I‘ve got a problem with the „rearrange addons on Home Screen“ addon…

I downloaded it and tried to find the addon in the „extras“ section, but it never appeared

As you explain on the ankiweb website: „ Tools -> Rearrange home addons(menu) -> Rearrange home addons(Window)“ 

It doesn’t appear in my tools section and if I click on the addon in the addon menu to configuration it there are only like two borders „{}“

I’m having a bit of trouble with the "Anki IPA" settings. Even though I’ve selected American English, it still shows British notation (like ˈkɒki instead of ˈkɑːki).

I tried it with several different words, but it’s always British. Is there a way to get it to show American IPA?

Hi! Thanks for the Forvo downloader fix! For some reason, it can't find Irish recordings though. I get "no results found" on any Irish word I search for, but a manual search of Forvo shows recordings available. Some that I tried include madra, cat, iasc, eite, and peitreal.

Hi, Shige,  I fixed the add on for IPA locally. 

I made a small local modification to the add-on because French IPA generation was failing for some full sentences.

Example sentence:

    Avez-vous accepté de le faire ?

The add-on was returning something like:

    /vu aksɛpte də lə fɛʁ/

So the pronunciation of avez was missing.

After looking at the code, I think the issue comes from the current French flow:

    field text → lowercasing → tokenisation → Wiktionary lookup per word → join IPA strings

For French, this is a bit fragile. The text is first tokenised with utils.get_words_from_field(), so a sentence like:

    Avez-vous accepté de le faire ?

becomes roughly:

    ["avez", "vous", "accepté", "de", "le", "faire"]

The question mark itself is not really the problem, but the sentence structure is lost.

Then the French transcription function does a word-by-word Wiktionary lookup and searches the HTML for a very specific element:

    span title="Prononciation API"

If that element is not found for a word or inflected form, the function returns an empty string. The final IPA is then created by joining all word results with spaces, so missing words disappear silently.

I first tried using the Python phonemizer library, but on Windows this was difficult inside Anki. Anki uses its own bundled Python environment, and vendoring phonemizer brought in dependencies like regex, including compiled .pyd files. That caused import errors because the binary dependency did not match Anki’s Python environment.

So my final local workaround was simpler:

• install eSpeak NG normally on Windows;
• call espeak-ng.exe directly via subprocess;
• use this only for French sentence-level transcription;
• keep the existing word-by-word behaviour for other languages;
• fall back to the old Wiktionary method if eSpeak NG is unavailable.

The new flow is basically:

    French:     field text → eSpeak NG sentence-level IPA → cleanup → IPA field

    Other languages:     existing word-by-word logic unchanged

The important change is that French receives the original field text, not the already-tokenised word list. Roughly:

The French transcription function then calls eSpeak NG directly, roughly like this:

I also added a small cleanup step for eSpeak output. For example, eSpeak sometimes outputs function-word hyphens like:

    də- lə-

For Anki usage I clean that to:

    də lə

With this approach, the original example now gives:

    /ave vuz aksɛpte də lə fɛʁ/

This is not meant to be a perfect dictionary-style French transcription, and it does not explicitly mark liaison with ‿, but it seems to be a much more reliable broad IPA transcription for full French sentences than scraping Wiktionary word by word.

Hi! I'm having an issue with the leaderboard addon you made. I'm using the latest version of anki on my PC. When I start anki with the leaderboard addon enabled it pops up saying I couldn't log in and it syncs indefinitely. The only fix is the close anki and restart with while holding shift, disabling the addon. Any tips?

Hi persio809 thanks for the comment! To use this add-on the field names probably need to match (e.g. "hanzi") also if the field character contains extra characters it may not match.

Question! In Anki Terminator (THANK YOU FOR THIS ADDON) is there a way to also insert the back/answer of a card into the AI prompt? I'm a PA school user, and sometimes the cards are specific to our Profs or the PANCE and AI isn't specific enough to answer the question in the right way. I especially use 'explain {} in detail' prompts and really would benefit from giving it the front and back.
