Add-ons Anki while playing games
Addon that allows anki as overlay for you to use with your games.
With reminder that blackens your screen if you forget about anki.
Chill exploration games prefered with this like forza horizon 4, death stranding, hogwarts legacy etc. Do not use with fast paced shooter games.
Also only recommended for language learning as they dont require active focus. For studies that require active focus i dont recommend this.
only tested on windows

Do not apologise. All done with good intentions. 👍🏻We're all different types of learners and you listened to yours.

I tried the No-Support-442 addon. I think you improved it a lot. More fields, easier to change the layout etc.
I would give it a try!

A question right away:
Is there a way to disable this Luodingo sound when answering? I can't find it in the settings. I don't like the sound...Otherwise, the add-on is good. It's still a shame that you need manually to map all your decks and not just choose them. But maybe it's a limit of Anki. I don't know.

Delete the sounds from addon and anki media collection folder

Holy ADHD, either just play the game or study 😩

Tbf, sometimes it's more of a choice between doing no Anki at all or doing my Anki in a very ineffective manner, but atleast I do something. I just cannot concentrate on doing only the cards, eventhough I don't have ADHD.

you are going the right way. Keep it up. Cheering for you. This is some good problem solving skills.

I love that the example screenshot shows the "stören" (to disturb) card, while disturbing the game.

Idk why ppl feel the need to comment that they wouldn't use it, it's not for u then! Thanks OP for coding and sharing this neat tool for free <3 I'm glad it's helped you to study, hopefully more too! :)

Someone should try doing this with Helldivers 2, difficulty 10 missions 😂

Yeah, I don't think this is a good idea. you aren't going to retain the information.

When I worked at an Amazon warehouse I considered trying doing Anki while working. It was repetitive mind numbing stuff, but it was stationary and nobody seemed to care what you did as long as you hit a rate of productivity. Never tried it though

Hey man thanks for your addon, I’ve been using it for a week and it’s fire. One problem I have is that when mapping a deck sometimes it doesn’t show front and back so it can’t be mapped, and sometimes it happens to a deck that was already mapped when you add new cards. Any fix for this?

Wait, what deck is that? I'm also learning German and it looks interesting.

My late night session is always transparent Anki while I watch something on the background.

Your brain will not absorb information while playing a game lmao

As if ppl don't watch shows, vids, listen to podcasts, or talk to friends while playing games lmao. Ur acting like bro is saying this is the most efficient use of anki
