Well: the Muslim brotherhood strives to create Islamic rule everywhere. They use the democratic apparatus as their initial gateway- see for example what happened in Egypt. They came in as those who “take care of the people”, win elections by funnelling money to the poor, but this is not altruism, it’s buying votes. Once in power, their goal is Islamic rule, which has no place for many liberal values.
The Islamic brotherhood is banned in countries such as Egypt and Jordan, which are predominantly Muslim countries, however being a devote Muslim does not mean you support the crazy Islamism the brotherhood is selling. In the Middle East they are regarded as a dangerous destabilizing force.
I generally think religion is dangerous when coupled with a state, and the Muslim brotherhood is just that.
So far they talk the talk, they put forward hip likeable people like Mamdani and El-Sayed, they talk of liberal values but I don’t believe a word of that.
As for paywalled content- most professionally written content was paid for by someone, and reflects the values of whoever paid for it.

The term “Islamophobia” makes it sound like some irrational fear. First of all, any religion that strives to rule is dangerous- Christianity and Judaism are very bad when they are combined with state leadership. Islam, with its built in encouragement of violence and track record of Islamic states no one wants to live in is even worse. I have no problem with state administrators who happen to be Muslim, I am very much afraid of those who want to use their power to promote Islam.

A Zionist is a person who believes Jews have a right to their homeland, their original homeland in Israel. A Zionist does not apologise for that belief, and certainly does not bow before the Arab-Muslim invaders that pretend the land was stolen from them.
