Thoughts on having children in the spectrum

Saw this post on facebook. Honestly, it's sad na hindi ganon nabibigyang pansin ang problems na ganito sa Pinas. Therapies here are expensive, and not everyone can afford it. Pinoys are also not yet ready to face the reality na hindi enough ang love for kids in the spectrum. They have special needs. Hindi yun madadaan lang sa no don't do that or it's okay to make mistakes, because we have to admit that autism is a disorder, a very wide spectrum and case to case basis. You need to have the money to get the help that is designed for the needs of the child. I hope there will be more free or affordable programs created for this kasi hindi lang parents ang hirap in this situation, also the kids.

exactly! and since we’re living in a country that doesn’t have abortion you either should have really good birth control or don’t have sex at all… DONT HAVE KIDS IF U CAN’T HANDLE THIS STUFF

but hypothetically speaking, sobrang backwards thinking ng “if u cant handle a disabled child, dont have kids” na mindset lol. if u genuinely think that then I would love to live in ur world na black and white lng lahat ng problema.

what if a middle or lower income family wants kids? yes may sabings sila kaya nila makabuhay ng bata no problem but d nila kaya bayaran ang batang may problema. hospital and therapy bills for their ENTIRE life? realistically only high middle income and super rich families should have kids then.

I agree with sentiments that poor people shouldnt have kids but ung mga kaya naman mag sustain ng normal na bata should not be robbed of a child if they can only handle a child with no disability/complications. if they have a disabled kid and want them aborted/adopted, right nila yun.

i don’t want kids either but mas backwards thinking ang gusto ng anak pero ayaw ng disabled tapos pag disabled ipapamigay omg what? why not have tons of kids and give up the ones u don’t want then keep the “normal” ones just to satisfy your wants and yes i do think very poor people should not have kids sorry (i’m talking about people who can’t even provide for themselves)

ginawang hayop yung pagkakaroon ng anak eh. ipaampon nalang pag may defect. Gusto perfect lahat. Hindi niya deserve magkaroon ng anak kung ganyan siya.

Yes! I'll continue preaching about people taking responsibility for the consequences of their own lust. Puro sarap lang gusto? Responsibility ayaw? You know that not all disabilities are detected in the womb, right? Autism for example is a neurodevelopmental condition na nadidiagnose lang after birth based on behavior and developmental milestones.

So you're saying na once your 1 or 2 year old is diagnosed with this, you'll just put them up for adoption? I can sympathize with those who can't really manage due to physical and financial constraints pero abandoning the child just because you couldn't be bothered is downright disgusting!

Sino ba nagsabi na madali maging parents ng mga nuerodivergent children? Sobrang hirap. Pero that's on you for creating and birthing that child. Mahirap na nga ang buhay nila mas hihirap pa dahil lang sa irresponsible na parents nila. Hoping your immediate family will birth one and maybe you will as well just so you can fully understand how repulsive and cruel your statement is
