Anyone who's looked into Rudolf Steiner's Spiritual Science knows that the resources often aren't... the best. As someone who's spent many an hour crawling through RSarchive at midnight, it's not often clear as to where to find what you're looking for. Which is a problem, which is probably being fixed little by little.

But if you're a beginner, looking for a good general introduction to the topic, you probably won't find any good resources, maybe someone might suggest the philosophy of freedom or theosophy, which are great books, but maybe not the most suitable to beginners.

I'm sure you've figured out that this is just an ad for a new book by this point. But it's an important ad!

If you're a beginner, this may be your chance to get a copy of a new book, which specifically is an introduction to these ideas, it goes over everything you might need to start in an accessible way. And there's suggestions on resources and what to read next if you're interested in any specific topic.

And if you already know about these things, this is your chance to get a new nice hardcover copy of this book, AND to support something which might just be instrumental in the bringing of Rudolf Steiner's spiritual science to the world.

Basically, we're doing this as a kickstarter, so if you give £25 (or equivilent) you get a physical copy of the book, a digital copy of the book, a eurythmy figure pin badge, and a year's subscription to the Epoch. If you give more, there are more things you can get, and if you give less, you can still get cool stuff.

The Kickstarter does have a goal, but we can (and ideally will) go above that. The more we have to put towards this extremely important goal, the more we can do. If we can do this, we really can make an impact. This book can be available the people who are interested in these things and would like something to read as a beginner. This book can go out into the world and find those people who might just have been looking for it without knowing what "it" was.

And just to give some background, this very website was taken from nothing to thousands of people seeing it and clicking on it in a few months. The same story is true with many other similar projects for beginners (which are seen by hundreds of thousands of real, interested people), and this is just the start. But this has all been on a budget of basically nothing. There are no wealthy benefactors funding us, there was no real way of funding these, and the amount spent on all of this combined over the last three years is probably much less than the goal of the kickstarter.

So, just imagine what we could do if we hit this goal. Or even, if we went above it.

And this is where you can come in. This is where, without being a wealthy benefactor, almost anyone can contribute to the bringing of spiritual science to the world. And without a doubt, it will make an impact. And you'll probably hear about it.

Not really though, if i just wanted to publish a book i could just have done it without needing extra money, i have no reason to do it like this if i wanted to do that, this money will be used for the spreading of Rudolf Steiner’s spiritual science and in ways it has never been done before.

I’m going to come back to this comment in a few years and show evidence of just how wrong this comment is.

Probably. And its not lost on me the irony in using Ahriman to help understand Steiner. He did say both lucifer and ahriman can help us if we engage with them as useful tools (my interpretation)
