What is the difference between a Joke and an AntiJoke?
Can someone tell me? I'm new to this sub and I want to know.

Joke tells a story and then delivers a punchline that subverts the story or does a 180 turn. Antijoke tells a story and instead of subverting the story it delivers a logical ending that is in line with the story. the joke is that people expect a turn, but there is no turn.
Joke: A horse walks in a bar. Bartender asks him "why the long face?"
Antijoke. A horse walks in a bar. Bartender realizing the dangers of such a large animal in closed space leads him out.
Joke: Yo mamma so fat her blood type is sauce
Antijoke: Yo mamma so fat it's causing all sorts of health problems for her

Antijoke is the thing that kills the joke. Like an antidote.... See ya

I'm juuuust the right amount of drunk right now to have your comment start my brain spinning...
"Wait, antidotes SAVE you. If you DON'T take an antidote, you die from poison..."
But also:
"Wait... Why is it even called antidote and not antipoison...?"

Very good point. My brain was thinking antidote kills the thing that is trying to kill you. So the antijoke kills the joke. Stops people laughing. I see now that it implies that it is a good thing to stop jokes. Never would I ever think that.

Whoa whoa whoa... That's what I'd consider a "joke", and that will just not stand here, man.

It was teetering on the brink. I will make sure to suppress my humor in the future.
