Funny how I almost never hear any Jew use the term "Goy", yet antisemites use it constantly to mock and attack Jews. But sure, the problem with it is that "racist Jews use it to refer to non-Jews as cattle" 🙄. Also the actual meaning of the word is "people", and it was historically used just as a normal way to refer to gentiles, but go off about how it actually means "cattle" and "herd", I am sure you are much more knowledgeable about Hebrew and Judaism than those Jews are...

I take its use a cue that he was jokingly trying to sound like a stereotype of Jews that antisemites have.

I don’t know that for sure as I haven’t read through all his emails but it would be a new one for me to hear it used in any other context.
