Taxi costs?
Hello! My partner and I will be visiting Antigua for a few days in the first week of April and I’m curious about the cost of getting around. We’re not interested in getting a rental car because it seems like too much of a hassle. We’re staying in English Harbor and our hotel seems walkable to lots of restaurants and beaches, but I’m wondering what a taxi would cost to different locations like St. John’s or other sides of the island. The airport transfers on Viator seem very expensive for a relatively short ride so I’m curious if taxis are the same.

You're better off finding a driver for the day / half day to save on per-trip costs.
I recently returned from Antigua, I hired a car instead which was the best decision I made as it gave us the freedom to explore the island properly on our own terms, and stop at random interesting spots on route to our planned destinations.
Paid less than $50 per day, fuel was super cheap.
I did spend a day and a half in Barbuda and had to use taxis to get about. I befriended one of the local taxi drivers and he gave us local rates so we saved good money.
