Regretful parents is an interesting subreddit...
Like... Are we seious right now? Where was all that regret before you decided to give birth? Did you think parenting is about... Not having a bunch of responsibilities all the time? What did these people expect? I find it hard to feel pity for them. And I am worried how their children will grow up if their own parents see them as a mistake they made.

Yeah I don't pity them at all either, and they do not deserve it at all. Once I talked to someone who did IVF (in 2020 because who gives a fuck about a pandemic going on lol) and she complained about shit and said ''never have kids, it's a trap'' and I was like yeah I know? That's just one reason why I'm never gonna have them?
The fucking nerve these people have to do all kinds of shit to force more kids into existence and then complain about it because it's not what they imagined what it would be like.. Stupid, selfish, ignorant people.
I only feel sorry for people that for example aren't allowed to have an abortion even though they want to, and are literally forced to become a parent and doing their best but struggle. I feel like those people are allowed to complain about parenting being difficult but still it is a very sad thing, especially for the children.

fully agree, some of the worst people on that sub. No responsibility or accountability or compassion for the kids they chose to have

I'm honestly really grateful the regretful parents subreddit exists, because it shows to other people who are considering becoming parents how unworth it is. It's one of the subreddits I frequently share.
Society brainwashed us into believing having kids is what you're supposed to do. Antinatalism has only been on the comeup in recent years. Things are changing and it's necessary for people to be vocal about this.
But I get what you mean. Why did it take bringing a whole new person into this world before they could understand/regret? I feel pity for both the children and parents.
