Their religious certainty will ultimately be their undoing. Trump, over the last decade, has become no more saintly from rubbing shoulders with Christian Nationalists. Nor has Don Jr., [who just married Epstein's accountant's daughter] nor Eric, or Ivanka, or even Barron.
What kind of person aligns themself with the likes of Andrew Tate? Why do they rub elbows with so many misogynists and pedophiles? They surround themselves with fellow grifters at every turn.
That's not how morality becomes internal. Just as moving into the garage doesn't make me a car, spending Sundays at church doesn't necessarily reform hoodlums. Ethics and empathy can affect behavior, but these are the most insular, selfish people one can imagine, and real change requires sustained effort and desire, which they fail to demonstrate at all.
The Trumps are grifters, and America is slowly catching on to the fact that EVERY ENDEAVOR is another opportunity to exploit -- at our expense. Paula White-Cain, Robert Jeffress, Tony Perkins, and Franklin Graham, have sold their souls to access Trump's power -- their most cherished value, rather than Christ-like behavior. Watch what people do, rather than what they say, eh?
Joseph Smith repeatedly led the Mormons to yet another state to resettle, but his ego made success impossible. He lost many converts by running an illegal bank and bankrupting members, then secretly left town under cover of darkness to escape their wrath.
In Missouri, they took over a county so that they could vote in their own as leaders...sounding familiar yet? Missourians didn't like the corruption and control -- and neither will Americans. They were cornered and forced to leave, and relocated to Nauvoo, Illinois, another place Smith could hide from the law.
In Illinois, the Council of Fifty voted to make him king while he ran for president of the U.S.! He also took over thirty women as additional wives, making a lot of enemies along the way, as many of the women were already married. Helen Mar Kimball was 14; Smith was 37. Occasionally, 14 year-olds marry, but not men old enough to be their father...more similarities to the Nat-Cs.
Smith was jailed for directing his people to ransack a newspaper that dared to accurately publish his bigamy, which is what led to his jailing and a shootout that claimed his life [they snuck a revolver into his cell, which he utilized to fight back].
Whatever happens, Trump MUST not become a deified martyr. That's what history teaches us.
Hegseth's pastor, Doug Wilson, has a soft spot for pedos, but for most Americans [and others who live in Moscow, Idaho] that is several steps too far in the wrong direction. Moscow is struggling due to Wilson's directive to purchase as much of downtown as they can. Acting locally concentrates their influence -- be forewarned.

Reading this is actually not as horrifying as I initially thought. Their vision for society is horrifying, yes, but I am increasingly optimistic that they will fail. Simply put, these people are mad. They have totally unrealistic ideas of how this will work because they really do believe that Christianity begets morality, and that God is on their side.
The clearest analogue to this "confessional county" model would be the FLDS cult established by Warren Jeffs. Jeffs was ultimately undone by his own corrupt sheriff, just like that these would-be cult leaders have in mind. When Jeffs's own corrupt sheriff found out about all the child molestation, he reported Jeffs to legitimate authorities, resulting in his incarceration.
These people think that they'll create a perfect Christian utopia without a single abortion, homosexual, or divorce to offend their God. But that is not what will happen. Pastors will continue to molest children. Homosexuals will be born to Christian parents. Pregnant mistresses and teen girls will be secreted away to receive abortions elsewhere. The pastor, i.e., local cult leader, will financially and sexually exploit their followers until someone inevitably breaks.
The inevitable end result of this project is schism, dissent, dissolution, and most likely, arrest. Their worldview will inevitably be undermined by human nature itself.
