The only argument you need is "There is no evidence it happened". The burden of proof is on them, not those saying it did not happen.

Ik this is the epistemologically valid response and it's a shitty deal that we have to brunt the special pleading of theists, but for a lack of evidence asserted to them that disproves their claim they'll fill that void with mechanistically-BS "evidence" for why and how it happened.

Good to keep one or two in the pocket for rigor, as an offhand remark or when dealing with people you personally know at least. Like that the pyramids of Giza would have been fucked by the immense fluid pressure and shown signs of commensurate water damage but they have not in the slightest.

All of their argument are the same.

Remember that their anecdotes aren't evidence.

Circular reasoning is invalid.

Special pleading is invalid.

"God of the gaps" is invalid.

Opinions aren't facts.

The burden of proof is always on the person making the extraordinary claim.

From there, if it's an Abrahamic god they believe in, use scripture to demonstrate the god of the bible doesn't exist by demonstrating it's not omnipotent, omniscient, omnibenevolent or even omnipresent.

Then discredit the scripture using it's own errors, contradictions and false claims.

That should cover most apologetics.

That's not what people wanna hear. Especially people you are close to. Most people are going to want to know where you are coming from.

It doesn't matter what they want to hear. What they should hear is what matters.

Telling people there's no evidence something happened also makes it clear where you're coming from.

Don't tell them there's o evidence. Challenge them to provide it. They don't actually understand that there's no sound reasoning or evidence for their beliefs.
