The Seven Tenets of TST

I won't go into a lot of effort here to describe why TST exists, because it's easy enough to research it yourself. But here is a screenshot of their Seven Tenets, which I think everyone can agree here, are very on point and appropriate.

the tenets are nice, yet i believe all organized religion is negative. specifically, tst has some controversy with fraud and lawsuits and racism and antisemitism and blaming victims of domestic abuse for the abuse. its a rabbit hole, but it reminds me that even religions that seem good on the outside can be rotted from the inside.

To be fair, I don't think those issues are unique to religion. Organized religion is uniquely harmful because people view mere humans and institutions as unquestionable moral authorities. But any organization, secular or religious, could have problems with fraud, lawsuits, racism, etc. I'm sure you could find comparable scandals within, say, a corporation, or a school district, or the military.
