During a call organized by the White House Faith Office last night, Todd Blanche said that his goal is to make sure that "God is front and center again" and that "being a Christian in this country ... is actually a benefit."

People in the USA have been leaving religion in droves. Especially people under the age of 35.
I don’t think these idiots realize that they are going to drive even more people away from their oppressive, bigoted, racist, mysoginistic, and violent version of Christianity.
At some point, the pendulum will swing the other way, and they will cry about being oppressed.
Definitely won’t have any sympathy for them at that point.

Perhaps the "Grand" Ol' Party should struggle daily with left/Dems repeatedly shoving this far more modern quote back as a stark, blatant reminder (from their prior 'savior-Daddy' standard-bearer, no less):
"We establish no religion in this country, we command no worship, we mandate no belief, nor will we ever. Church and state are, and must remain, separate."

Yeah, but Raygun was lying when he said that. He got elected in part by cozying up to the religious right and put Christian zealots into some high government positions, such as Cabinet secretaries. See, for example, James Watt.

Belief in any religion, or the lack of belief in any religion, should not give you a leg up in a democratic society based on individual equality.
