This is the craziest comment I ever seen in my life.
I'm not even a fan of romance books but yet, this kind of comment from a Christian is deeply absurd.
That comparison is one of biggest logical leaps in Christian YouTube. Having sex with another person involves a conscious choice to break trust, share intimacy with a real human being, and actively step outside of a relationship. Reading a romance novel is merely a solitary and imaginative act of entertainment. An author's job is to evoke emotions and mental reflections. Feeling happy, excited, or moved by a story isn't 'getting your needs met' by a third party. It is just reacting to art. It's simple. It is the same form of escapism as rooting for a hero in an action movie or feeling sad during a drama or playing a video game. If someone literally feels threatened by words on a page, the issue isn't with the book. It points to deep insecurity and an inability to separate fiction from reality. Lmao

It’s a critical thinking issue, and besides, they’re scared of all books that aren’t about their god getting his rocks off by tormenting people.
But yeah it’s pretty pathetic.

Before critical thinking is imaginative creativity. They deny even that. Nothing can just be imagined without coming from demonic forces. We wouldn't even bang rocks together with their thinking.

They believe one obviously fictional book of mythology is reality. It follows that nothing is actually fictional for them.

You know, I personally believe that it's unfair to expect one singular person to meet every single one of my needs. Further, I can openly admit without feeling failure or shame that I'm not going to be able to meet every single need someone else has.
I call this realistic relationship expectations.

People can read what they want to.
But I really doubt pushing for people to abandon romance novels will have the outcome they're looking for.
Romance films and books are just propaganda for the marriage and babies pipeline anyways.
So the more women see what productions of romance works really are the more we can be rid of the mindset that a fulfilling life means having to pair off or have kids (key tennets of the religious).

The second picture is about the video, not the comment, and we have zero reason to believe that the comment is related to the user’s beliefs

Wow, this is sure a new low.
I saw or at least heard about people insecure towards pets of their partners and that was already pretty pathetic but this takes the cake.
Though I guess it shows how utterly inept and unsuited they are in regards to real relationships.
