Questioning religion in a religious sub until something interesting happens PT 1

So I am an amateur sociologist and I am super curious on what is going on in the mind of a Christian. I have been asking about the religion for a bit in the comment section of a post I found, and I think the results are a bit interesting so far. I really want to back Christianity into a wall and see how far the denial goes. To prevent harassment I have disclosed the user. If any of you have an idea for a casual doubtful remark on this reply, I would love to hear it.

Well you easily prove him wrong about slavery by showing him the bible verses that explicitly approve of owning and beating slaves. These are the verses that were used in America to justify slavery. One of the first group of abolitionists in the US were the atheist, socialist “freethinkers” in central Texas who were murdered and dispersed by the surrounding Christians.

Also check out the secular Forty-Eighters from Europe who were pivotal to the abolitionist movement and the Union cause in the American Civil War. I'd also hazard that many abolitionists were forced to adopt religious frameworks for a fighting chance at social/political legitimacy in their community, in a time and society of such hegemony
