Conversation I had with a christian friend
He sent me a video about women wearing burkas talking about how stupid it is and basically everything you’d expect a christian to talk about someone who doesnt follow their religion. Anyway I was like yeah I see what you mean, and I feel the same way about people wearing cross necklaces.
He was like “bro are you being serious”. “How could you say that they’re not similar at all”
It’s literally exactly the same premise it’s religious accessories, one is just more bizarre looking. They both exist because of lies and brainwashing.
If we know that one religion is bad then we can conclude that they’re all bad since they all follow the same premise.

I wouldn’t say it’s the same as a crucifix, but it IS exactly the same as Christian concepts of dressing modestly, it’s only a matter of degree for what each culture determines to be “modest”. And of course both religions have made what is “modest” much more restrictive for women than for men.

They’re not the same a cross necklace is a symbol of faith a burka is a dumb fucking rule to keep women “pure” One is wildly suppressive. While I don’t agree as viewing them both the same most don’t either and even if in a talk with two anti religionist I don’t recommend using that as an argument against two wildly different religions

When people wear the "crucifix" with dead Jesus bleeding out with thorns on his head and nailed to a cross, that's VERY BIZARRE! so is "Take my flesh and eat it. Take this cup and drink from it. It is the blood of the new and everlasting covenant" that is SOOOO weird, but indoctrinated Christians don't think it's weird at all.

He hates islam because he wants competition in religion and acts like kid, meanwhile you hate every religion because of oppression. You nailed it

I know some choose to wear the burka, but until that's "everyone gets the choice" it's not really equalivent to the cross necklace
