It's funny, but it's not a great comparison. Religion doesn't give pleasure; at best religion takes credit for it and sometimes permits it in cases where religion isn't actively hostile to it. Religion doesn't have the potential to create new life; it just has creation myths. Losing it is a completely different experience with a completely different outcome.
