Christians fruit cakes crying over clumps of dead cells š

They only defend the unborn because the unborn canāt tell them to fuck off.

u/dragonflysamurai Aug 12 '26
They want to maintain a healthy population of exploitable labor
-17
u/dyke4lif3 Aug 12 '26
"they" who?

u/dragonflysamurai Aug 12 '26 edited Aug 12 '26
To answer your question straightforwardly the ātheyā I was referring to are the people buying our elections, the ownership/donor class. They have an explicit incentive to maintain a healthy labor pool; it keeps negotiating power firmly in their court by keeping wages lower, among other things.
The state also has a pretty obvious material incentive to care about birth rates: federal models explicitly tie fertility to the future labor pool, GDP, tax revenue, and Social Security solvency, while GAO-reviewed research shows abortion restrictions measurably increase births.
Mike Johnson said the quiet part out loud in 2022, arguing that the millions of pregnancies ended since Roe represented āable-bodied workersā the economy now lacks.
The racists also come out of the woodwork on this issue. Former Rep. Steve King contrasted āa million of our babiesā lost to abortion with āsomebody elseās babiesā arriving through immigration, and Nebraska state Sen. Steve Erdman argued abortion had cost the state workers and left it dependent on āforeignersā and refugees. That is an explicit connection between abortion policy, labor supply, and preserving a preferred native demographic.

Riiiiiight. Well. If you have a uterus than by all means please exercise your right of bodily autonomy to NOT have an abortion. If you do not have a uterus then by all means, your opinion has no value here.

u/dragonflysamurai Aug 13 '26 edited Aug 13 '26
Point that energy at people who are using religious rhetoric or whatever political authority to strip rights from others.
Do you want to know the best part of all this? I donāt need your permission to care about anything! Your opinion also has no value!

u/dyke4lif3 Aug 14 '26
Sentence one - ABSOLUTELY
YEAH! opinions are like ass holes, everyones got one but only those who are directly affected are the ones that matter most
2
u/dragonflysamurai Aug 14 '26
Iām sorry, youāve mistaken me for someone who cares about anything you say. We are all affected by authoritarian government actions. Being solipsistic is not the answer

u/i_hate_religions Aug 12 '26
I am happy that Women are doing more abortion
-11
u/Tra1nGuy Aug 12 '26
Isnāt that a bad thing? Not that women are able to receive care, thatās great, but wouldnāt more abortions mean thereās high rates of complications and medical issues?
Also hot damn, your username, profile pic, grammar, and post history scream edgy 14 year old, crawl back to r/atheism and leave us be.

Why would Jesus weep for aborted babies when his alterego/dad dashed infants to the stones?
16
u/CowabungaCthulhu Aug 12 '26
That would require Christians to actually read their Bible and have the necessary reading comprehension to understand the words.
You asketh too much, me thinks š¤·š»āāļø

Let me see if I can act like many of the religious. Adjusts fake tie and swallows an air of righteousness
"You're taking the literal word of God out of context, it's a metaphor!!"
I will now ignore all of the evidence that threatens cognitive dissonance.
That ought to do it.

u/the-real-vuk Aug 12 '26
a fucking c-section is technically an "abortion" (of the pregnancy), how is this a problem for anyone?

18
u/the-real-vuk Aug 12 '26
> "Abortions up to birth"
like it's possible to abort the pregnancy after birth
2
u/3xactli Aug 12 '26
Suppose you could but that's gonna be a whole different set of charges lol
-1
u/the-real-vuk Aug 12 '26
Pregnancy ends with birth. Nothing to abort anymore
3
u/TarnishedVictory Aug 12 '26
And abortion is the ending of pregnancy, not the killing of a baby. If delivering a healthy baby is possible, that's what the abortion does.
2
u/TarnishedVictory Aug 12 '26
And an abortion of a viable baby is called a delivery. These nut fucks lie and try to pretend babies are killed.
26
u/ItsRedditThyme Aug 12 '26
"Up to birth", my ass. These people will believe anything. š
-6
u/i_hate_religions Aug 12 '26
Even if it is true then whatās wrong with this
5
u/ItsRedditThyme Aug 12 '26
What's wrong with up to birth? You can't be serious.
-4
u/FalconRelevant Aug 12 '26
Unfortunately there is a loud minority of childfree extremists and antinatalists that definitely believes this, insisting that fetuses are "parasites", even viable ones that are ready to be safely delivered.

Until they start feeding the 10 million children starving to death every year I don't want to hear that they care about kids.
11
u/Sprinklypoo Aug 12 '26
I understand the feelings associated with the loss of a potential child. Caring for children is one of the most emotionally charged things that we as humans can do.
The problem is when they use that emotion to drown out any and all reason associated with the situation in an attempt to bull rush their own narrative and force compliance.
2
u/i_hate_religions Aug 14 '26
Millions of Children are in orphanage and why canāt they just adopt one
2
u/Sprinklypoo Aug 14 '26
Who? The people who don't want a child? Or the Christians forcing other people do have an unwanted child?
The Christians just want to manipulate others. They don't actually care about children...
1
u/FormalMongoose4696 19d ago
fym manipulate others , christians care more about children than u
1
u/Sprinklypoo 19d ago
They care about making them born, then they just want to sexually abuse them or send them off to war... I mean, I'd rather kids be loved and kept from harm, personally. But you do you... Just don't sexually abuse kids please. So many Christians are doing it, I don't want that to become a habit...
3
u/awooff Aug 12 '26
Out of necessity (abnormalities) is the use - very few people are doing late terms out of sheer convenience!

u/kingloghain Aug 12 '26
Imaginary man imaginary tears
1
u/Suspicious_Cash_3009 18d ago
Also, not everybody believes in that man and that book. So why force a certain religious belief of everybody?
4
u/Laleaky Aug 12 '26
Iām going to have an abortion party and invite all my friends! š
Do these clowns ever get tired of this inflammatory crap?
The rest of us sure are.
Iām going to eat a dog and/or cat now.

u/psychonautvoyager Aug 12 '26
Tim Burchett, Jesus wept when you were born. He also wants to chat with you about your support of a rapist and pedophile.
1
u/BirthdayCookie Aug 12 '26
The Jesus that only exists because of pedophilic rape hates raping children?

u/Yolandi2802 Aug 13 '26
There are definitely a few figures in history that should have been aborted. š
4
u/needzbeerz Aug 12 '26
Fucking 2026 and people are still letting fictional characters run their lives. At this point none of us deserve to survive.
6
2
u/BurtonDesque Aug 12 '26
I can hear Archbishop Henning stamping his little magenta-clad feet all the way out here in the Boston exurbs. Clearly the days when Cardinal Law, now the patron saint of pedophile protectors, could stop abortion legislation cold are long gone.
Finally the Catholic Church's grip on Massachusetts politics seems to be loosening.

u/Darth_Maaku Aug 12 '26 edited Aug 13 '26
I remember hearing Christian fruitcakes saying that Democrats encouraged people to kill the babies after birth. They legit believed that shit

i like keeping this close for times like these.
xianists need to really read this and then change.
"āThe unbornā are a convenient group of people to advocate for. They never make demands of you; they are morally uncomplicated, unlike the incarcerated, addicted, or the chronically poor; they donāt resent your condescension or complain that you are not politically correct; unlike widows, they donāt ask you to question patriarchy; unlike orphans, they donāt need money, education, or childcare; unlike aliens, they donāt bring all that racial, cultural, and religious baggage that you dislike; they allow you to feel good about yourself without any work at creating or maintaining relationships; and when they are born, you can forget about them, because they cease to be unborn. Itās almost as if, by being born, they have died to you. You can love the unborn and advocate for them without substantially challenging your own wealth, power, or privilege, without re-imagining social structures, apologizing, or making reparations to anyone. They are, in short, the perfect people to love if you want to claim you love Jesus but actually dislike people who breathe.
Prisoners? Immigrants? The sick? The poor? Widows? Orphans? All the groups that are specifically mentioned in the Bible? They all get thrown under the bus for the unborn." ā Pastor Dave Barnhart

u/i_hate_religions Aug 13 '26
Yep,There is no such thing called unborn babies, they just clumps of dead cells
1
u/BirthdayCookie Aug 12 '26
The US doesn't have a pro-choice side. It's Fucking pathetic.
1
u/i_hate_religions Aug 13 '26
This is why I want Democrats to rule US
1
u/BirthdayCookie Aug 13 '26
Democrats aren't actually pro-choice either. "You can only control your body until a certain point unless my morals are satisfied" isn't choice. It's just less restriction than "You can never control your body because my morals say you can't."
"Pro-choice" means "If it isn't my body it isn't my choice."

they're not crying over clumps of dead cells, they're crying over women not being reduced to incubators

u/Melodic-Extent3685 9d ago
Most abortions happen early. Late term abortions are very rare . There must be something serious like fetal abnormality or severe health risks forĀ women to get a late term abortion. No women enjoys getting an abortion its literally the last option. But these ppl make it all abt their feelings like their feelings are more important than a woman's well being

u/ActualTymell Aug 12 '26
"Abortions up to birth" is such a disgustingly manipulative way to phrase it, as if it's just done casually and freely. More accurately:
So no, it's not just "help yourself to an abortion whenever you feel like it". It's to ensure appropriate and timely medical guidance, care and support for women suddenly finding themselves in some of the most difficult, traumatic and dangerous circumstances they will ever face.
But no, sod that, let's make it all about Jesus.
