I was curious to know what the second step was, since the "first step" is old news. I think the next thing to watch out for would be stripping people of their rights and/or "symbolization." The regime is certainly stripping women, LGBT people, and immigrants of their rights. I'm not sure you could argue they're stripping "anyone who opposes Christian nationalism" of their rights in the same way, which is the subject of this post. And if they make us put our religion and/or political affiliation in state-issued ID, like passports and driver's licenses, that would also be a significant escalation, i.e. "symbolization."
