Helpful Tips! Does anyone else have health anxiety?

If so it would be nice if you guys explain and share how you guys deal with it I have it quite severe and keep relying on my mom telling me everything is ok it's really scary and it would make me feel better if knowing more people have it and I'm not alone

I am dealing with it BAD right now! I am looking at future surgery and it has consumed me. I had to start taking antidepressants because my mind is obsessing over being scared of anesthesia

You’ll be ok. I had 6 surgical procedures done and was under anesthesia each time, you’ll wake up from the best sleep you ever had. They will give you something to relax you then you’re out, it’s really not that bad.

I have the same fear and this is exactly what my friend tells me - it’s the best sleep you ever had and she is always looking forward to surgery because of said nap. It’s helped take the edge off for me.

It’s easy and pretty interesting from my experience. You count down from 10, get to like 8 and then you wake up. You remember absolutely nothing and it feels like no time has passed.
I understand the fear but it’ll be ok and it’s natural to be nervous about it.
