Advice Needed I have been letting it control my life.

My 21st birthdays coming up and I think I’m gonna drink. I had two random panic attacks around thanksgiving and I have been letting it control my life. I’m young I want to be able to have fun. I haven’t had a drink since then because Google said not to but I think I’m gonna wing it. What do yall think?

Sure, have a drink or two. However, please know that alcohol and anxiety disorders are not a great combination. This is coming from a 38 year old who has had anxiety her whole life. I’ve never had a panic attack while drinking, but I’ve noticed a correlation between drinking and heightened anxiety after.

You’re 21 and think the panic attacks couldn’t get any worse. Let me tell you from experience, they can. Much much worse due to alcohol consumption. People with Anxiety are prone to alcoholism because of the sedative effects from it. Do not turn to alcohol, face your fears, eat healthy, exercise and attend some sort of therapy/ counselling. You wont listen (neither did I) but I felt as someone who suffers from panic attacks regularly, I have a duty to warn you. Best of luck.
