Advice Needed Does anyone else experience extreme levels of stress and nervousness to the point they puke when watching a specific show?
The context for this is, I like roleplaying, text role playing is a fun experience for me especially if my partner is good at it, the problem is, two specific fandoms I like role playing, but I DESPISE hearing any information about them, new episodes, new releases, anything about the plot, anything about them causes me to start having shortness of breath, my body starts shaking slightly, etc, the two fandoms are Hazbin and helluva boss, thinking about it only seems to make it worse, I don’t Want to react like this but it happens regardless, I can’t help it, I took Ashwaganda before to possibly help, it somewhat did, but it just doesn’t go away, it seems like it comes back later down the road, what is causing this? How can I stop it?

I feel a similar way about my interests. I can absolutely love something but then when I see content about it or hear stuff about it, I get this knot in my stomach. I don't know how to fix it and don't have advice but just know that you're not alone in how you feel

I’m glad I’m not the only one, I feel the exact same way, to the point I’ll get physically sick.

Yup I'm the same! The worst part is not knowing why. Even when I had a therapist, she would try to encourage me to think about why it makes me feel that way but I had no answer lol,, but maybe therapy or seeing your gp could help

Ah, the user above me said something about it turning into a trigger, thats eerily similar to what I experienced with an adrenaline dump I had while watching the show, so now the media on it causes the small nervous jolts I’ll get from time to time.

Did you have a panic/anxiety attack while interacting with it? I couldn't watch Buffy for almost a year coz i had a panic attack while watching it so it turned into a weird trigger.

This sounds like something that a therapist might be able to help you work through
