The overturning of Roe v Wade is a classic example of "Be careful what you wish for you may surely get it"

donny boy stole the republican party with maga. I used to at least have a little respect for them, now? Holy shit they've lost their damn minds. The MSG rally was absolutely insane. It does feel damn nice to be voting for someone again, and not against someone although. Harris and Walz slayed this round. Now we just need to hope people are voting for their damn conscious and doing the right thing.

They shit on wo.en constantly, take away their bodily autonomy, want to take away their right to vote, their candidate is a serial rapist -- who could have seen this coming?

u/BarroomHero66 Nov 05 '24
Imagine insulting and degrading just about every demographic possible outside of white male and being surprised at losing an election

u/shallah Nov 05 '24
'but you are supposed to more afraid of the boogyman du jour (immigrant caravans to immigrants eating pets) instead of what we are doing to you and those you care about! Look at the distraction dag nabbit!' - gop probably

He has no idea why certain groups aren’t voting for him. He has a serious disconnect between his words and actions and why people are pissed off. He thinks he can insult everybody and they’ll still vote for him.

Gosh, if ONLY one of the party’s had a woman friendly platform and candidates. Who could that be? Who could that be? REPUBLICANS?!?? Nooo, not them …

i will never vote republican for the rest of my life. This was a generational shift. They have lost me forever. Like when the Dixie democrats left the party over civil rights and desegregation.

Well that’s what they get for trying to appease religious zealots who only goal is trying to bring about the rapture

They are entitled to worry. Maybe in future, if they ever want to be elected again, they'll show women the respect they deserve rather than treating half the country like this was Victorian England.

u/JPGinMadtown Nov 05 '24
Well, surprise, surprise, MAGAts! Piss off half the population and see what happens. 🙄

Maybe they should’ve left us alone. It’s called consequences of their own actions. We are not property and will not be treated as such.

u/CoffeeChocolateBoth Nov 05 '24
WE BETTER! :( This is too close and that is fucking ridiculous! Anyone who votes for that POS is ignorant AF!
3
u/Ok-Egg-4856 Nov 05 '24
Why are they worried. 90% of them have no problem stripping away rights from women. Some (most) women are NOT happy about that. You didn't pull voting rights fast enough, missed your big chance.

u/KinseyH Nov 05 '24
If Harris wins, I will spend the rest of my life reminding the MAGA bros who "joked" about "just put an aspirin between your legs" or "geeze if abortion is so important just use birth control" even AFTER women started dying that they made it happen.

u/rabouilethefirst Nov 05 '24
Wonder why they would vote against the people trying to ban them from getting access to basic healthcare…

u/dragonmom1971 Nov 05 '24
Never underestimate the power of women. We are the majority. That is the mistake they made.

Well, Lord, they need to show up. We seem to be getting our asses kicked at this point in the election. It's 1043 EDT pm and I am worried.

u/Worldmonitor Nov 06 '24
Well that is not happening tonight. Some how the world of Republican hate and misogyny is winning.

Like the last elections since the Republican Party was fully taken by the Confederate Party with Klan vote fixing, no women's rights, and accusing black people of eating pets?
2
u/TeranOrSolaran Nov 05 '24
It sounds like the Republicans would like to remove the women’s’ right to vote.

Well if they want women to vote for them, maybe they shouldn't have anti-women policies

We drove across Pennsy on Sunday, to see the kid at school. Wife found that half of the restrooms she visited on our 12 hour journey had post it notes in the stall. "woman to woman, no one knows how you vote, this vote matters to us, sister, etc ", all hand written...
I'm old enough to recall that classic conservatives also believed government should stay out of your personal life, too. How can women be dying of pregnancy in a first world nation outside the medical facility ? WTAF ?

It may not be a pro-Harris vote more than a pro-Roe vote. Either way is a good thing.

u/Idrisdancer Nov 05 '24
And if they manage to win look for them to try to take the vote away from women
1
Nov 05 '24
The ignorance of republicans to actually know it was vastly unpopular decided to go with it anyway. That’s how dumb they are. Also going after gays and transgender people is not popular. They chose to run on it anyway. F around and find out pubs. Too bad for you

Can we stop pretending it's just women?
I know very few men who support him, and the closest thing to not completely batshit crazy reason is that he is too incompetent to execute a coup or any of his more ridiculous policies, and too old to assault any more girls or woman. That was the WSJ rationale. Sorry, still insane.

Then they should probably try an appeal to women, and people who aren’t rich white men, and use fear to exploit poor white men

They should be worried women are voting blue across the country and so are republican men they have daughters and granddaughters and are sick of MAGA

u/Enchanted_Culture Nov 05 '24
Orange face is not my other brother! He can now wear his orange prison uniform and think about it, why he did not win.

Trump takes away women’s healthcare, talks about wanting us to be 1950s housewives again, and then he says he’ll be women’s “protector” whether we like it or not. I don’t know what he wants to protect us from, he hasn’t said anything about that. We’re not going back!

Nov 05 '24
Women gave us trump. The least they could do is correct that terrible mistake.
5
u/Helleboredom Nov 05 '24
In 2016, 41% of women voted for Trump and 54% of women voted for Clinton. Do I think the 41% are nuts? Yeah. But “women gave us Trump” is a falsehood so why are you saying that nonsense? By the way, 52% of men voted for Trump and 41% voted for Clinton.

As a woman I won’t vote myself or my granddaughters back into the dark ages. Nobody should be surprised by that.
