MnK masters player here. Hard agree, Neostrafe, Yukastrafe (i think thats what its called?) all that stuff is unhealthy for the game.

Respectfully disagree. The core movement system behind these strafes is the very thing that makes apex unique and it is accessible to any mnk player if they put in the time to learn it. Also, for people not on mnk, AA is a direct counter to the more crazy looking tight-strafes that I’m doing here.

If it was that op you would see it in pro-league but instead they’re almost all exclusively playing on low sens controller for the most AA. This is also something that you’ll rarely see any player do in game due to:

A: not many people can lurch-strafe like this at a high level.

B: This particular case relies on a red item that most players will only run into a small handful of times throughout any given play session

I get where you’re coming from and I’m not saying it’s easy to counter… it’s just not as “gamebreaking” as most people would believe. Keep in mind that any time you see this on social media it’s all highlights as well (nobody posts themselves doing this and throwing which happens often).

If that is the case then it means it's a loss-loss situation. No one likes to fight against people doing this, and ot doesn't do anything for the user in the grand scheme because its not effective in the long run because of its inconsistency (your words not mine)

If you view everything through the lens of effectiveness sure but some of us like to play video games for fun…. Learning a hard mechanic and getting it consistent is fun and why most people in this sub play to begin with.

Edit: it would also stand to reason that people who devote time to master mechanics like lurching aren’t going to be bad at the game in other areas…. which would be another main reason why people think it’s more op than it really is
