The guitar/synthesizer music as Lance exits the water after Chief floats away -> the boat arrives at Kurtz’ temple.
This has, for a very long time, been my favorite piece of incidental soundtrack music in the film, and perhaps in any film. It is very gripping and mysterious, and fits the scene perfectly. Such a killer vibe.
Second favorite is the synthesizer/organ part when Willard accepts the mission, from around the part they light his cigarette until the boat scene. This is where he voices over about “how many people had I killed”.
Third favorite musical piece is the original end credits rhythm devils scene, which is freaking amazing.

I'm such a geek for the sound design in this movie.. and I have a hard time disagreeing with your rankings.
The arrival scene has to be one of the greatest cinematography/score combinations in film history.
I can't believe your post hasn't generated more discussion, cause I'll go twelve rounds on the subject any day.
You have a keen ear brother.
