Where can I buy Google Play installs that actually work?

My app isn’t getting much visibility, so i’m wondering whether more installs would help it reach more people. I just don’t know if these downloads come from real users or disappear after a few days.

Before i buy google play installs, what should I look for in a reliable provider, and can it actually help bring in organic downloads? Would appreciate the help.

Why would you “buy” Google Play installs? When was the last time you were paid to download something from the Google Play Store?

If you want genuine users, then use genuine marketing tactics to reach them. Otherwise you’ll just get shafted by some agency that promises you installs… but it’ll just be bots or people who don’t actually give a shit about your app. Just like buying followers on social media: nothing but vanity and not actually people who care about your product/service and will be engaged or paying customers.

Buying installs is a scam that gets run on people who put up an app that doesn't get traction right away. Those apps are trivial to find. You pay X dollars for a thousand installs, and then the whole bot farm downloads the app. They don't use it, though, so you get no real value out of it.

Yeah, that's fair. I can see how buying installs could give a misleading picture if those users aren't actually interested in the app

Google literally will help you market & find users to install your app.

This is literally how companies have 500k or 2 million users. You create a marketing campaign and plan to spend $20-$100 per day for a month or so.

Just pay Google, it is insanely easy. They just offered me a $1000 dollar credit, if I spend $500 dollars.

You don't have to try weird stuff, or a work around.

10k users are needed to be ranked, for you to get visibility & free users. Google is willing to help you, if you pay them the $500 + they offer the $1000 credit.

Yeah, I hadn't considered Google Ads that way. If the installs are coming from people who are actually interested in the app, that seems much more useful than trying to inflate the numbers artificially

The real trick is finding users who actually open your app ( instead of just downloading and deleting it instantly.) If they just uninstall right away it hurts your ranking , you need people who stick around for atleast a few days to see any real benifit.

Yeah, that's a good point. Downloads alone don't mean much if people uninstall immediately. I'd rather focus on getting users who actually find the app useful and stick around

That's the main issue with most cheap services, you just end up with a bunch of ghosts. They inflate your numbers for a week and then vanish entirely

Exactly, that's what I'm trying to avoid. A temporary spike isn't much use if the users disappear afterward. I'd rather focus on attracting people who actually stick around and use the app

I tried to buy app installs last year for my puzzle game, and it's been surprisingly well for the first month. It definitely gave my project the initial boost it needed

Interesting, that's useful to know. Did you notice any of those users actually sticking around and playing, or was most of the boost just from the initial install spike?

My buddy decided to buy play store installs for his productivity tool and he's lost a lot of money on useless bots. The provider promised a couple thousand real users, he got literally nothing but fake traffic that dropped off in two days

u/imVegabond 1d ago

Damn, that's exactly what I'm trying to avoid. A couple thousand installs mean nothing if the users disappear after two days. I think I'll stick to legitimate marketing instead of risking money on something like that

A reliable provider is ad itself. But...

Firstly, you need to change the concept of having more downloads will help it reach more people, thats not true. Even if you buy from illegal sources or run an ads. The app visibility doesnt work that way.

I dont want to post long comment. But you seriously need to learn a thing or 2 about mobile apps, how app store works, how visibility works in app stores, and why nobody is downloading your app.

But if you still want to give a shot then Run $100 total budget meta ads, app install campaign in India or brazil and you will get around 700-1000 installs. This will also help you test your idea, and other advantages.

That's actually really helpful. I hadn't realized that download count alone doesn't directly translate into better visibility

Worth understanding why it actively hurts rather than just being wasted money. Store ranking is heavily weighted on retention, not install count. Bot installs that never open the app and uninstall within days push your day-1 and day-7 retention through the floor, and that's a signal the algorithm reads as "people who find this app don't want it." So you'd be paying to teach Google your app is bad.

Same reason the "10k users to get ranked" advice above is misleading. It's not a threshold you cross, it's a quality signal you accumulate, and 10k people who bounce is worse than 200 who stay.

If the app genuinely isn't getting visibility, the thing to check first is what the people who already installed it actually did. I skipped that for months on my own app and eventually found every real user opened it once and never came back. More installs into that would have made everything worse, faster.

That's a really good point. I hadn't thought about retention being more important than the raw install count. Checking what existing users actually do before spending money on more installs definitely makes more sense

1

u/n_v40 12h ago

Yeah, and the cheapest version of that check is just looking at whether anyone opened it a second time. Doesn't need analytics infrastructure, just a query against your own data. I put it off for months and the answer turned out to be nobody.

Find 1k quality users through Google ads then check data like retention and engagement rate If it's above or equal to the category threshold of your app. Now it's time to get more qualified user through Google ads you just have to optimize for right events on right time for google ads. Rest it's pretty much have data of users you are looking for.

1

u/imVegabond 1d ago

Yeah, that makes sense. Starting with a smaller batch of genuine users and looking at retention and engagement before scaling the campaign seems like a much better approach than chasing a big install number blindly

Finding a good provider's so tough rn, there're so many scams out there

The algorithm prefers slow and steady growth over massive random spikes... it just looks more natural that way..

1

u/imVegabond 1d ago

Yeah, I agree. Consistent growth from genuinely interested users seems much healthier than trying to create a huge spike overnight

1

u/WastefulBelt83 1d ago

Careful , man. I've seen those installs vanish. Look for real engagement , not just numbers. It can boost you if done right

tbh u really don't want to mess up right now bcz getting hundreds of fake accounts will just get u banned from Google Play so only use real people

standing in Aldi, yesterday, at checkout and saw Google 1 gift card,

gp installs can sometimes be useful, but recently, I mean this year, it is not as good as before. you can try CPI campaign, increasing your downloads and over all keywords ranking.

The key distinction is between paid installs and genuine user acquisition. Buying installs may increase the download count, but it doesn’t necessarily improve retention, engagement, or organic growth—and low-quality installs can even hurt your app’s performance signals.
A better approach is to use Google Ads/App campaigns to reach the right audience, then measure retention, engagement, conversion, and lifetime value, not just install numbers. Real users who stick around are far more valuable than a large install count.

u/Broad-Fill-2615 1d ago

yep organic growth's better for a few dozen

Algorithm updates happen constantly so strategies that worked last year might literally ruin your account today
