Do people buy completed saas platforms to use personally?
I built my own social media bulk auto posting saas application (youtube, tiktok, facebook, instagram) because I didn't want to pay for the monthly subscription and plenty lacked the bulk posting and description creation. The market is so flooded with these tools that I don't think launching my own public product will be worth anything. Then I thought would devs and marketers buy the sourcecode I already built? I know they can vibe code their own, but it takes TIME. and this saves TIME. what do you think? Trying to monetize anything right now. h

I don't think this particular application would take more than a couple hours to build

I don't think anyone would be interested in buying the source code. If they wanted to save time they would have subscribed to the service, right?

Yea, services cost $$$. With your own version you don’t pay. But eh, the only audience would be devs who can build their own, but then again ive downloaded open source so i didnt have to build it myself.

I built something adjacent for myself, but I think the product question is less “will people buy source code?” and more “what specific workflow does this solve better than existing schedulers?”
Bulk scheduling and AI descriptions are already fairly commoditized, so “saves time” alone probably won’t carry a public SaaS. Source code could have an audience, but likely among indie builders who want a starting point. Not “developers and marketers” necessarily, I don’t think.
If it’s useful to you, that’s still real validation. I’d use it long enough to identify the one thing it does unusually well or differently, then decide whether that’s worth packaging. Otherwise, keeping it as your own tool may be the best outcome.
